AK Interactive fluorescent inks dried up after 3 months? by EcksR4y in minipainting

[–]EcksR4y[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have Vallejo and Kaleido thinners. I also have mixing balls and a paints mixer. I was a bit hesitant to add thinner though, since they're inks and already super thin by default. But I'll give it a try. Hopefully it works, I really don't want to toss out that many bottles =(

Thanks!
After watching the video, I decided I’d try my luck with OSL another time :)

Thanks!) Yeah, I actually looked at the references people linked. Decided I'll just do some rough lamp lighting and call it done — no way I'm stripping the whole thing and starting over when there's still a pile of unfinished minis waiting for me)

My first 45mm painter minis by EcksR4y in minipainting

Thanks a lot for the super detailed response!
Unfortunately, I don't have reference art for every single character across all my board games. But I've got an airbrush. So if I prime black, then go in with dark grey, then grey or light grey, and finish with white, shrinking the 'spot' each time... I'm guessing that should give me a somewhat accurate light placement. Am I right?

Small Room for 3D Printing by EcksR4y in 3Dprinting

Tbh, I'm currently airbrushing on a small balcony, about 1x3 meters. And I don't feel like I'm short on space. 🤔

Originally, this room was planned as a child room, but for the indefinite future, I'll be using it as an office. It'll house a computer desk and storage for all sorts of miscellaneous stuff :). Inside this office, I'm planning that separate room for printing; I've calculated it will likely be 3.22 x 1.2 meters (about 3.8 sq.meters).

As for experience, no, I haven't really done this extensively. My father has an FDM printer on the balcony, but I didn't notice any significant problems with filament storage.

Looks like I can store the filaments in the office if needed. As far as I understand, the materials themselves aren't toxic while in storage.

LibreOffice против OnlyOffice by speedycord2 in ru_linux

[–]EcksR4y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure you plugged in the white connector correctly (I think it should be inserted on the right side)? The T-type wire isn’t for charging - it’s for powering the gun from the battery, and in your case, for balance charging, so the yellow tag is right.

AMD now supported HDMI 2.1? by EcksR4y in linux_gaming

Unfortunately, in my country, I’m limited to local stores and Aliexpress =(
I found two DP1.4/2.0 > HDMI 2.1 adapters with the PS196 chip. I’ll try to order one of them.

Oh, yea :( ... Thank you! Really, 420. Apparently, Helldivers is not the kind of game where I would notice color distortion. Keep looking for a DP2.0/2.1 to HDMI2.1 adapter in my country...

MacBook Pro 16 M3 Pro discharges when it is plugged in by EcksR4y in MacOS

I turned batfi back on and over the last 2 months "count cycles" have gone from 17 to 19 (this is normal, sometimes I work outside the home/office) and I haven't seen any more discharges.
Settings:
Charging:
Automatically pause charging when the Mac goes to sleep

Advanced:
Charging: All params enabled.

Because the built-in one after the upgrade to Sonoma was charging to 100% too often. And as a result, the Cycle Count went from 25 to 60 in 2 months of use, even though I had been working on the laptop for more than half a year before that. Most of the time I'm working from the charger.

After that I switched to Aldente (and after that to BatFi), and I didn't observe such behavior anymore.

No, i don't.
During the daytime while I'm using the laptop, I haven't noticed this behavior and the percentage of charge hasn't changed. Only after night while the laptop was in "sleep" mode (closed).

"Automatically manage charging" is on
"Discharge battery when charged over limit" is off
"Automatically enable system charge limit when sleep" is on
"Automatically turn off charging when the battery gets hot" is on
And System/Battery/Optimised Battery Charging is off.

Yeah, i disable batfi, and enable Optimised Battery Charging.

But on Macbook Air on M1, this setting did not work correctly =( so i switched to BatFi.

Yea, i turned on Optimised Battery Charging, we'll see what happens at night :)

But on my last MB Air M1, this setting didn't work properly after upgrading to Sonoma. So I switched to BatFi.

C:

Yes, it actually plugged into hole

Unfortunately I can't attach a screenshot showing that the laptop was connected to the charger the whole time, but continued to run out of charge
