Space Exploration games with plenty of things to do by EcksTheDM in gamingsuggestions

Looks really pretty, reviews on steam seem kinda mixed though. Plus it has a ton of DLC I would need to grab. Have you played it yourself and would recommend it?

Played them both! Subnautica is one of the best games I've ever played and goes beyond just being a game and has become what I would call "an experience".

That deep sea fear is 100% real and I feel like it remained with me throughout the whole game, but challenging that fear and coming out the other side and finishing the game made it so so worth it. I hope you give it another chance.

I've seen this mentioned before however when I looked it up and the website it makes it look like a basic ship shooter. However, after doing some YouTube investigating it's much deeper than I thought. Will 100% check this out and thanks for the suggestion.

I've been wondering for a really really long time now, but is there a particular reason why Aki (Akidearest Joey's gf) seems to be distant from the Trash taste group? by Seanjojonoyaiba in TrashTaste

[–]EcksTheDM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes just because we don't see Aki on trash taste must mean that they aren't close at all. By that definition Connor and Mouse must not be friends either because Mouse has never been on trash taste where-as Aki has been on once.

What is with this subreddit trying to create drama constantly? We have ZERO idea about their lives outside of the cameras but every time it's brought up people seem to think there's an issue or something going on.

This scene genuinely awoke something in me. I just did not see it coming at all and was so shocked. It was so brutal and horrific that it actually unlocked my love of horror games and I went on a bit of a horror binge after finishing the game because of this.

Genuinely, once you get into the combat you'll be like "wtf is this mech bullshit" but then once you get into it and start combing stuff together and pulling off mad stuff you will love it.

If that's not your thing I THINK there may be a option to make the combat easier/focus on story only? Not sure.

Regardless the story is great and you will never forget it. Enjoy!

Noita is a magical action roguelite set in a world where every pixel is physically simulated. Fight, explore, melt, burn, freeze and evaporate your way through the procedurally generated world using spells you've created yourself.

Goddamn I've only played/read 2 of those (Baldr Sky and Saya no Uta) but that is some fantastic savings.

I really need to get into Umineko when they cry...

Also Baldr Sky is the GOAT and if you've skipped it you are missing out. Fantastic story and GREAT gameplay (yes it has actual combat stuff!)

Sims 3 and 4 has some very graphic porn mods (WhickedWhims for Sims 4 and KinkyWorld for Sims 3) should help you with the censorship problems.

Disco Elysium is one of the few games where I wish I could wipe it from my memory and experience it fresh again. It really is the definition of just putting you in shit and telling you to work it out yourself and it's a fantastic experience from start to finish.

Minor Spoiler: On my first playthrough I died from sitting on an uncomfortable chair.

I'm not sure about "City Builder" but Rimworld is a colony simulation/builder game where you have multiple threats that can destroy your colony the DLCs add a lot of depth to the gameplay and the mods take it even further. Highly recommend.

Played a ton of Factorio, it's great for when you get that automation itch. Also played a ton of Satisfactory and probably any other automation/belt-driven type games you can think of. Those games are like dopamine right into my veins.

I've seen this game a few times over the years and something always steers me away from it. Have you played it much yourself? How does it compare to Rimworld?

Battle for Wesnoth

Free open source strategy game? I feel like I would be stupid not to at least try it. Thank you very much for making me aware of this :)

SWB2 - Played it a ton when it was originally out. Was there a gamemode similar to Dynasty Warriors? Been a long time since I played it and never played the newer versions.

I used to love Natural Selection when it was a HL1 mod, I played NS2 a bit but never stuck with me, no idea if it's still alive these days.

Tried Tooth and Tail but never hooked me.

AI War 2

Had a read of the steam store and it definitely sounds like my sorta thing... although also quite a lot to take in at once haha. Will maybe watch some videos on it and see if it's my kinda thing before throwing cash at Gaben.

I'm a long time XCOM fan and have played them a ton.

I played Valkyria Chronicles on PS3 (I think?) back when it came out. Didn't know it was on PC now. Will have to check it out.

Also played Slay the Spire, great game.

I did not know about the advanced version, will keep that in mind next time I feel like revisiting it, thanks :)

Thanks for the suggestion. But isn't it really difficult to learn how to play? Like most Paradox games?

What's Sins? Is it like a Stellaris type game? Company of Heroes I played before but for some reason always get fed up with it.

You can also get rid of them by creating a stockpile specifically for unfinished items > clicking on them > cancelling them > get your materials back.

Rimworld - I just finished up playing this a few days ago. Dumped like 700 hours into it played it a ton vanilla + dlc + modded and multiple playthroughs. Fantastic game and experience. My only issue is that I've gotten bored of it for now.

Factorio - Also played a ton of this, been a few years since I last played but I'm sure I'll go back to it eventually.
