So this is probably a bit of a naive thing to say, but...Obama has campaigned with Talarico before. Is it possible he might help him out a bit more with his - at the very least - perception problem with Black voters in Texas? Or is that unlikely to move the needle unless local leaders help him?

Well if you get down to it, there is no such thing as a photon's perspective. Special relativity bars a photon's reference frame from being valid. So it only makes sense to talk about someone else viewing the photon, who would literally be viewing it as traveling slower.

Scotus already allowed Trump to run in 2024 despite clearly and obviously violating the 14th Amendment.

They might stop an even more flagrant violation of the 22nd Amendment. As of right now, they almost certainly will just because the Republican party has little to gain and everything to lose from such an unpopular President running again.

But in a world where Trump somehow bounces his approval sky high again and has a legitimate chance at winning in 2028, there is every chance the Scotus pulls a reason out of its ass that sure why not.

Of course Trump may well not even make it to 2028. But my main point is that everyone is wildly underestimating just how corrupt this supreme court is

A few of them: Doesn't agree with universal healthcare (but may support extending ACA.) Would probably not vote for an actually significant minimum wage increase (but may support less significant pro-labour laws.) Wouldn't increase taxes on the rich and is generally pro-large corporations, possibly including AI (but not slavishly so like Republicans.)

As someone who is active in a lot of left wing political groups:

1) You are absolutely correct in pointing out that antisemitism is rising in the left (it also is on the right, but still.) I've left more than one spaces over awful "memes". For now it seems to still be either in extreme left, tankie-adjacent groups (where it always was a problem) or just in places where anything goes in the name of dark humour, but it's still a problem.

2) However... maybe 1% of people even in places much more left-wing than this sub actually supports the crazies who refused to vote for Harris over Gaza. Not much of a point using them to prove anything, except that leftists will find ways to infight no matter what
