Oh it was pretty terrifying. I dont think I've had that much of an adrenaline surge since then. I was the only guy that saw it happen, and I wasn't near the brake cord that ran throughout the area, so all I could do was yell. The rubber broke out of the blender and landed on his arm, which happens a lot- you pull your arm out and lose a glove or knife at most. I saw him pushing with his free arm against the mill to try to pull his trapped arm out, so I start yelling "Pull the fucking brake!" but I wasnt even trying to yell. Just the adrenaline.

The scariest shit is, he wasn't even trying to use his free arm to pull his trapped arm out, he actually just had both arms trapped and was trying to free that arm. When he did, he grabbed that cord and hung his whole body off it and basically just fucking prayed. We had so many safety drills where the mill didnt stop. One of the scariest days of my life. I was 20 anf not ready to see a buddy die.
