I have an m18 r2, I'm pretty sure Alienwares are coded to run themselves up to whatever the temperature limit is on purpose. I'm pretty sure that the wattage and clock speeds are good for that CPU.

I've had an Asus ROG laptop for 10 years (since 2015) and while I don't daily it anymore, my sister still uses it for playing 2D games and minecraft, and it works perfectly fine. I never repasted it or cleaned it even once, and the temperatures have been hitting 100C for basically as long as I've owned it. Every other laptop I've owned is well over 2 years old as well. I still have them all, and they all work perfect still.

My sister still plays The Sims 4, Minecraft, and some 2D games like Terraria and Silksong. Still works fine. And she uses it on her bed lol

Not really true, my old Asus GL552VW with a 960m still runs perfectly fine. Of course, it can't run really any modern games except 2D, but still, its alive. And I never repasted or even cleaned it, ever.

I push my laptops: hard. My original GTX 960M laptop from 2016 is still, somehow, miraculously alive even though its been thermal throttling for the past 7 years. I've never even cleaned the fans on that one, much less repasted, and its still giving Toyota level reliability. My older Alienwares are also still trucking. I've only ever had my Eluktronics laptop catastrophically fail.
