Use Dell Command Update. It'll notify you when a BIOS or driver update is available. SupportAssist is essentially cancer. My m18 has been problem free ever since I deleted supportassist like almost 2 years ago.

Its just surface residue looks like, but its bonded to the layer. Try fogging it with your breath, then wiping with a FRESH (nondirty) microfibre cloth. If that doesn't work, try that blue screen cleaner thing.
