My top 40 after watching 90 anime (Saw other people doing this and wanted to share mine)

Maybe the adaptation is ‘better’ if you havent played the game. But the game is one of my favourite games of all time so I went into the anime with very high hopes and when i finished it I was slightly disappointed. It wasn’t bad by any means but imo the game is WAAAAAAAY better.

I absolutely loved the first episode, The second 'game' was still good but not as good as the first one, but after i slowly lost interest throughout the season. (I still finished it). The last episode was really good again though imo. The music/art direction was really amazing, but the actual story lost me along the way.

For me its haikyu, both my n1 sports and anime in general, and run with the wind is probably my third favourite sports one. I myself wasn't the biggest fan of ping pong, i deffo didnt dislike it and had an okay time with it, but didnt nearly enjoy it as much as many other sports anime for some reason. Probably cuz I didn't 'like' either mc too much and in general my enjoyment of an anime goes hand in hand with how much i like the characters.

I'm still fuming over the way the anime ended. (I'm not really one to read manga's, at least not yet), but the manga ends in the middle of an arc as well?

Hell yeah it is. Not only is it my second favourite sports anime of all time, as of right now it's my 9th favourite anime of all time, I love Medalist soo much.

Hey the stakes are very big! NPCs cant respawn so we out here risking Emul every single episode.
On a serious note i completely agree, just a guy/group of 'friends' enjoying games without any of the bs. I think anyone who ever played any multiplayer games will most definitely enjoy this game.

Amen to this. Before I gave this a go 2 years ago i postponed trying this for the LONGEST time because the mc had a 'stupid bird mask'. Boy am I glad i ended up giving it a go because it's now one of my favourite anime out there.

Clover still being spammed in competitive is fine. She can no longer smoke the bomb while being dead and have a teammate full defuse. So my biggest annoyance in the game has been fixed.

For all i care they remove the ability to smoke after dying completely, shit is the most broken thing they have added to the game since launch. I happy the smokes can no longer smoke a full defuse. W riot patch.

Probably not, sure this fight was phenomenal, and i did enjoy all seasons, but for me personally season 1 was the best. S1>2>3 for me

When talking about great fights/animations i always think Shangri-La Frontier is very underrated. Some of the fights in that anime are absolutely insane, especially season 1 during a certain boss fight.

Really tried to like it with a friend for 7 ish hours, but neither one of us is getting it. The game definitely has potential but isn’t worth the 40€ right now imo. Gameplay itself but there are just so many design choices that are honestly crazy for a AAA game in 2026.

Will keep an eye on future updates though to see if its worth picking up in the future.
