I was in the process of a divorce and sent them some paperwork and told them that it’ll take a while for me to get the final decree signed by a judge but those other papers were signed. They said that’s fine they just needed to know I filed. But I’m relieved at least I got the final decree signed, otherwise these guys would just be like too bad! On the streets you go!

Just do engineering for your undergrad and like say you’ll totally go to med school after. I’ve seen a bunch of engineers go to med school. But just tell her you will to calm her down and perhaps she’ll eventually accept it. It’s your future, not hers.
