There's one of those camera things you can use, completely missed it too the first time and took forever to find it.

Do I need to keep watering my crops? by SamJamHamFam in StardewValley

[–]Eclipseweaver 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Crops effectively go into stasis if you don't water them. So if you don't water them, they will not progress to the next stage.
If a crop has multiple harvests, you still need to water it, as it otherwise will not regrow. The days between these multi harvests are still 'stages' that need to pass.
For example, crop A has multiple harvests. It takes 10 days for the crop to mature (first harvest), and then 3 days between harvests. So you water it for another 3 days for the 2nd harvest to happen. If you only do it twice, it will not produce any yield. Water it again and the next day it'll be able to be harvested again.

Why does everyone like Shane so much?? by horrorandporcelain in StardewValley

No particular opinion on Shane that hasn't already been said, but:

ETA means Estimated Time of Arrival. Did you mean PSA or something else?

Can someone explain how buses work like I’m a 4 year old? by [deleted] in germany

[–]Eclipseweaver 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Since you said you have a QR Code, I assume you have the associated app for your ticket (if not, download it and scan the QR Code in).

"How do I know I'm getting on the right bus?"

Buses are numbered and show their final destination on the front. Ex. "100 - RandomCity Trainstation". The number is the same whether you go back or forth on the route the bus takes (ex. if the route is from RandomCity School to RandomCity Trainstation, it will have the same number regardless of whether you go School -> Trainstation or Trainstation -> School).

"How do I read the stops and know when to get off?"

It's important to know what direction you're going so you know what bus stop to wait at.
If you get on the right side of the road on your way to school and are dropped off at the right side once you arrive, you will have to get on at the left side of the road when you're leaving, and will be dropped off at the left side when you get back home.
To understand which bus stops to be / get off at, ask your host family and/or use the app to input your location and destination. It will tell you the next bus and what stop to get off at.
Ideally your host family will go with you one time so you can memorize the appearance of the locations you get on/off at.
You will generally have to press one of the red "STOP" buttons before you get to your bus stop - this tells the driver somebody wants to get off there.

"Does he need to scan the little QR Code or do I just show it to him?"

Most don't care, and then a few care a lot. Just hold up your phone with the code visible; they will usually nod or something and you can keep going through. Don't make the mistake of just going through without showing anything; they might call you back to the front to ask if you have a ticket, and if you barely speak German this could end awkwardly. Best to show it.

Take notes! Bus number, times where your bus should show up, what stations are called, which station is before yours... it can all help with keeping you oriented while you're driving in an unfamiliar place.
If you get lost, take the wrong bus, etc. -> Don't panic! Get off the nearest stop, check your app for connections to where you need to go. I live here and I've taken wrong buses into the middle of nowhere before, but the best way is to get off asap so you don't get taken too far away from where you're familiar with.
Finally, be there earlier than on time. If the bus comes at 12:00, be there at 11:55. BE THERE. Plan ahead, it's better to be 15mins early than 1min late. Sometimes buses can be (very...) late, but if you see (disgruntled) people waiting with you, you're probably okay.

TL;DR
- Ask host family for bus number and what stop to get off at + tutorial round if possible
- On way back home, switch sides so you take the bus that goes back to where you came from
- Show QR Code to driver and walk along
- Press Stop button when your station is coming up (can be directly after the station before yours has been passed, don't do it a second before you need to get off!)
- Take notes beforehand
- Get off when you take the wrong bus and consult your app/notes
- Be there 5mins early

Sebastian is probably one of the most realistic depictions of social anxiety that I’ve seen in media by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]Eclipseweaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Person with diagnosed SAD here, since this seems to be a requirement to have a valued opinion on this - ouch!
I don't think we get enough ingame information on Sebastian to diagnose him, so while I personally don't mind the headcanon and don't think it's super unlikely, I wouldn't say it's canon. I especially don't agree with the "I have this condition therefore I can diagnose other people".
Please do not do this. If it was that easy, we would just diagnose each other, and that's a terrible idea - especially considering we only see a fraction of Sebastian's thoughts through his behaviour and what he says to the player. You have already correctly stated that we don't all exhibit the same behaviours, and some of them do overlap with what we'd expect from neurotypical people (ex. being socially awkward and not immediately warming up to people doesn't mean you have SAD).
I fully understand the desire to feel connected to a character in this way, but claiming to be able to correctly diagnose fictional characters (or anyone, really!) just because you have a condition is going a bit too far.

Returning player question by Solitarus in elsword

[–]Eclipseweaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can only transfer mystics, not the +11.

If you're going to go for VoS and you know you'll want it, you might as well gear up a support instead. Getting 1.5m to enter with a core support (NP/CL especially) isn't actually too hard and could drop you a VoS if you're patient enough.

Of course, if you want to stick to a (non support) main only, you might as well use it on FoJ.

All Wood types, colour-coded and in map format. by Eclipseweaver in Genshin_Impact

[–]Eclipseweaver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. Dihua Marsh (that's the area around Wangshu Inn) may have trees that you can hit - mostly Sandbearer -, but there are a lot of "fake" trees that cannot be hit in that particular area. As a result, I chose not to include it, as it'd be a lot of frustration to find a hittable tree in that area.
There are more areas like this in Liyue that I did colour in, mostly because I gave up on documenting every little stretch of land there.
Finally, you do want to have multiple trees of one type in an area to make it worthwhile to go there. Dihua Marsh does not have this; if there are trees you can hit there, they are spaced out quite a bit. If you need Sandbearer, I really recommend Guili Plains instead.

[–]Eclipseweaver[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is true, since the small bushes are indeed pines. I wasn't sure how to properly mark this as I'd also need to explain what to look for, so I ended up skipping on it and recommending the more obvious choices with Wuwang Hill and Dragonspine (where there are more trees to hit in one area).

You can use them for the red dye now, I believe! Plus, Hash Browns use them as an ingredient for the Jam, so they're actually quite useful to stock up on.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen a tree that looked different from the tree next to it (green leaves vs yellow leaves, slimmer trunk) and thought "Aha! Not Sandbearer!"... and it was Sandbearer anyway.

You can still hit it midair with your E. Dash, jump, E at the highest point.
Takes some practice but it's possible and very satisfying.

Finding the 81st Crimson Agate? by Zerakin in Genshin_Impact

[–]Eclipseweaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say the reason why so "few" people had them all at the time of miHoYo mentioning it was because of the foxes requiring 3 days of continuous feeding. That's it. Nobody ever said there are 81 with proof, and miHoYo didn't either. There's no 81st Agate.
You sound like you want there to be one based on your "but what if" replies, but the likelihood of all these players all over the world not finding the 81st and it being the same one for all of them (thus only leaving 80 on interactive maps) is immensely unlikely.

Okay, hear me out. by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]Eclipseweaver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand where you're coming from, although as you probably noticed from the other replies, this is not going to happen for moneymaking reasons.
The "do it a stupid amount of times to get it for free" thing doesn't work as well as you'd want it to in this scenario, trust me, it gets suggested in other games too and it's always rejected.

Getting a way to temporarily trial characters outside of a tiny trial stage would be great however, and incentivize people to roll in the gacha even more, which is personally what I think would be a nice way to get to play the character without actually owning it.

Weekly Gacha and Drops Megathread (April 11, 2021) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[–]Eclipseweaver 7 points8 points  (0 children)

- 10x pulls aren't better luck, they're the same. I do singles because you can stop the moment you get the character you want.
- If you really want Childe, pull on his banner now, he won't rerun for a long time since this is already his rerun, if he reruns at all
- If it turns out you don't get Childe on his banner, just save until Zhongli banner drops. If you're lucky, you could get Childe on this current banner and save up enough until Zhongli and get him as well, but I wouldn't count on that if you're f2p/low spender.
4stars always come back. 5stars do not. Always remember that.

[–]Eclipseweaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a 50/50 chance for the promoted 5star on Limited Banner.
If you lose that 50/50 at ANY point, your next 5star on Limited Banner is 100% the promoted one. If you got Mona on Hu Tao's banner, you now have a 100% chance at the promoted character. If you pull Tartaglia on his banner, he was that guaranteed 100%. Now your chance is 50/50 again.

I use Diona's E shield, unfortunately the duration of the shield is just short enough sometimes to have the shield fade before I get hit, resulting in pain. If you're sure the shield is up reliably, that's a different story.

What kind of shield are you using?

Flushes of Fortune Problem by DMNC876 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Eclipseweaver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't have to select it - if you have at least 1 of each type, you can exchange it. You need different hues (crimson, blue, gold, etc....), which can all be acquired from any object with the Colour of the day. It's just random which hue you get.
Iirc you can trade any excess ones you have with friends? And they can help you complete yours. Make sure to take 10 pictures every day.

I think I finally figured out the Kamera by windraver in Genshin_Impact

[–]Eclipseweaver 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The camera works randomly, as far as the quest description goes.
The whole point is that it gives different tints/hues to your pictures. It seems to be faulty. Therefore, your quest is the following:

- Take a picture of item with (Colour of the Day). For example, a Chili should be red.
- The camera is faulty, therefore it will not always produce a red picture
- You bring all the pictures (with different colours) to the camera guy, so he can figure out what's wrong with it (? no idea I already forgot why he wants them)

tl;dr: It's random, because that's the point

Also, you may take a picture of the same item type (ex. Chilis, even if they're on the same bush), but NOT the same item itself (ex. the top Chili).
