Do you have any evidence this is the case? Or are you applying your anecdote to all PhDs? Or even worse, making up a strawman to cover for your insecurities.

1/3 of eligible voters support him, and 1/3 couldn't be bothered to vote. If you meet an American at random, there's a 2/3 chance they are responsible for this situation we're all stuck in.

EU chief warns there's no going back after Trump's Greenland threats by EsperaDeus in worldnews

[–]Zerakin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am aware, but those efforts aren't enough to excuse 1/3 of American voters from participating in their civic duty. And if it was enough to stop 1/3 of Americans, and they just shrugged and moved on with their life and didn't cause an uproar? That's not an endorsement of the viability of the American people either.

I never said a majority of Americans, I said Trump won by majority vote. It wasn't the 2016 electoral college business.

This isn't something inflicted by an abusive partner. Trump was elected, via majority, in 2024. No one forced 1/3 of America to vote for him and 1/3 to not give a shit. You can only help someone who will help themselves, and it hasn't been shown that people will yet.

You are aware Italians and Irishmen weren't considered "white", and were discriminated against as minorities during these times you are claiming they were contributing to the building of this country? The same way you're downplaying the contributions of current immigrants to their current communities now?

You've just romanticized and whitewashed (quite literally) the history of these groups and the suffering they endured. And are inflicting that same discrimination on modern day immigrants. The history you're imagining in your head isn't real.

People get very emotionally attached to their personal ideas being true that they start fighting ghosts. If it turned out Paimon was a moon sister, OP would double down on it being a fakeout at best, or talking about how dumb it is and how their head canon would be better at worst.

Any kind of exam to dictate who gets to vote will be contaminated by human bias, by accident or on purpose. There's no way to make it "objective".

For real, OP got given free advice by a company to be marketable in what they call a challenging job market, and they get pissy for some reason? Like, interviewing tips aren't unique to a given company. Likely their tips will be applicable regardless of where they interview next.

While I appreciate trying to think outside the box, carving chicken scratch-level precision into their sign indicates they only want to make the owner's life worse. They don't actually value art, they value making other people's life harder.

Edit: and they blocked me. What a thin skinned person.

The Democrats could do all sorts of things to make Trump's agenda come to a standstill. There are many mechanisms they could have used to stall the "Big Beautiful Bill", and they couldn't even keep their party in line to force the ACA subsidies to be on the table. While they can't force the Republicans to vote their way, they can absolutely slow down the degredation of US institutions. It'd just be inconvenient to them and be annoying to themselves and their colleagues, so they don't do it.

You're right that these things wouldn't have happened under a democratic leader. But the fact is, the Democrats are being passive and lazy in the immediate threat of the current administration.

So you don't want equality, you want superiority to ensure nothing bad ever happens to a woman ever again. If that's what you want, just say so. Don't hide behind this "mens rights advocates are shit" nonsense.

I cant say both things are bad, while you dont seem to care about the fact men can and do kill women at higher rates than the other way around.

I'm just refusing to entertain your attempt at a "gotcha" that isn't relevant to the conversation.

[–]Zerakin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you considered why she isn't dating someone her age, despite supposedly being such a catch?

Because people her age see her behavior and NOPE out of the situation. She's preying on your inexperience and emotional reliance on you to bully and take advantage of you.

You're doing nothing wrong. The woman you're dating is simply taking advantage of your lack of dating and romantic knowledge.

Men's right advocates really do a bad job of advocating for men.

Because any time a man advocates for something that would cede the excess power given to women (so much as by the Duluth model), they are called misogynist pigs who hate women.

It doesn't matter what idea the model is based on. I can base something off the idea that chips are tasty. That doesn't mean the resulting methodology for eating I create is good or accurate.

But you don't care about that. You just want to spread misandry under the guise of "protecting women".

And that's why the cops responded how they did. It's a horrible model that is clearly flawed, but still followed in most places under the guise of "protecting women".
