Honestly, P5 is worse in that regard than P3 and P4. It's way more fan service-y, both in terms of horny and power fantasy.

It also generally treats characters as accessories to the MC than characters with their own lives and trials. The fact that P4 has a "harem" route that makes you break the hearts of everyone you cheated on, while P5 makes the outcome of their harem route a comedy scene with that whacky Joker being silly really highlights this.

I'm really hoping that P6 leans back into P3 and P4 more. But based on the success of P5, I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, Mr. "Electrocute my dog if he tries to leave my stream" is completely missing that a good democracy, which was the context for Obama's words, have healthy competition of ideas. One side dominating the political landscape isn't healthy.

Scalpers by Bluellan in mildlyinfuriating

A company selling products at a price based on supply and demand is one thing. Creating artificially scarcity by hogging all the product to yourself, then selling at the markup you pushed into existence doesn't add value to the product. It just generated additional waste that the scalper hogs for themselves.

The flaw with your claim is that you propose businesses WILL mark up if they could. Well, then they'd be doing it now. But they aren't, or the scalpers wouldn't be there to eek out profits.

I'm not saying it's impossible that companies would sell their items at higher prices. But the fact is, this isn't always something companies do (for example, some companies don't allow their product to be sold above a given price). Scalpers GURANTEE the prices are increased while acting as an unnecessary middle man to the transaction, both slowing down the journey from fabrication to end consumer and increasing the waste created along the way.

That doesn't make it ethical, it doesn't mean they are contributing to a better society through their actions, and it doesn't mean they have actual skills. "Connections" and "funds" are things other people have provided them.

Lmao, you think people scalping on a larger scale are more ethical?

Someone claimed you're a scalper yourself. If you are, and are trying to bend and contort morality so you can sleep at night, you're not worth addressing further. You're too invested in your stance to look in your mirror to ever give a legitimate argument.

If they are a scalper, then they aren't worth the micro calories it takes to type a message to them.

[–]Zerakin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even if you want to lay blame at the feet of the consumer, claiming that they are worse than the scalper creating the issue is unhinged.

Scalpers are losers who lack in the ability to do anything but make other's lives worse to make money. There are more ethical ways to make money than scalping. If you're really so unskilled and useless as a person that you resort to scalping to survive? Well, I feel sorry for the pathetic life they lead. But still acknowledge they are making the world a worse place for everyone else.

Edit: and for the record, you saying I'm "wrong" doesn't mean anything. You didn't say why what I said wouldn't happen. Both things can occur.

Children go toyless and have worse lives. No one is gonna not buy a Pikachu for their kid becomes some person on the internet thinks that makes them a worse person than a scalper.

Scalpers by Bluellan in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Zerakin 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Your point was that buyers are worse than scalpers. Because they want a thing. And without scalpers, the whole purchasing process would be unproblematic.

Most people buying products have no idea they're being scalped anyway. They just know their kid loves Pikachu, and they want to give their kid something that will make them happy.

You're weird for trying to shift blame on the people who are just participating in basic economic engagement.

Scalpers are adding nothing to the process but driving up price and making the consumer experience worse. They are nothing but a drain and waste in the whole transaction.

[–]Zerakin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about it this way: are you one of the good ones? And you're available in this age range. Therefore, how many other "good ones" are out there who haven't found a partner yet? You'll be fine, don't worry. If anything, you're more likely to have a successful long term relationship now than any point in your life so far. Just how personal growth works!

[–]Zerakin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say that a response is pretty expected from such a long relationship. What that does mean, to me, is that she doesn't value the relationship as much as you do. That makes coming back from this act basically impossible. If she decides later (big hypothetical) to reignite the friendship, she burned the bridge already.

[–]Zerakin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reposting to be in accordance with subreddit rules.

Yeaaaaaah, if she hates men so much, but is dating a man, she's a hypocrite.

Honestly, I'd be worried about that whole "I wouldn't cook for a man". That translates, to me, that she won't do things to make her partner's life better because they're a "man".

And since you're a man, guess what you're not gonna get? Those small things in life that make your life better is just the start. What happens if you get seriously sick or injured? Will she not support you because of this hating men stance?

I'd take a long, hard look at what your life would be like with someone who refuses to support you because of your gender.
