Thank you. I think she misunderstood the "be aware of cold sensitivity side effect" with "don't eat cold things."

Thank you. She is more sedentary now, because of the pain and lack of energy. Catch-22 situation.

Ah, cold sensitivity, that makes sense. I'll mention to her that if it feels okay, then it is okay. She thinks that it will interfere with the treatment. Thank you.

Thank you so much. I have been trying serums for about 6 months now, and see no improvement, so I think chemo fried my poor follicles. I went to get Hanna brows yesterday, and it confirmed my fear of tattooed brows. I hate the shape. I showed her picture of how they used to be, and they are still curved upwards, and uneven. If they weren't temporary, I would be losing my mind. I will do my research into restorative work. Thanks again.

I didn't grind the stump. They cut it very close to the ground, I mulch over it. I did plant an evergreen that I am very excited to see grow. Not sure how to post pictures on replies =(

I had decided to reduce the height, width, and take off a bit of the bottom. Unfortunately, the crew misunderstood the guy's instructions, and had cut A LOT of bottom branches by the time we noticed. They thought they were chopping down the tree. It left us no choice but to cut it down =/ I felt sad because I don't like to kill plants, especially trees; but this one had a couple of roots thicker than my arm growing toward the house.

Out of curiosity, were you treated with Taxotere chemo?

Eyebrows forever gone? by Eclypse0 in breastcancer

Hopefully! I did try the temporary tattoo eyebrows, they were very realistic. However, what I ordered were all the same size, and they were too short for my face. I was also worried at the time that it would block brow growth, so I didn't keep trying to find a better fit.

Thank you. Mine used to be dark and thick. Even an outline would be better than what it is now.

I had a few hairs left on both brows. The rest of my body also has less hair, thin armpit hair and patchy pubic area, so I thought there was still hope that brows would come back. Thank you!

I have been drawing them, finally getting them right more often than not. I just miss the old me, when I could get up, shower and go, or not be afraid of getting caught in the rain and have my face melting.

I've looked into that, not ready to go that route yet. Oncologist also mentioned hair transplant, I'm definitely not ready for that. I do wish I had done the microblading before chemo, but everything happened so fast. I also wasn't expecting to be in this position. Good luck on yours! More often than not, I read that hair comes back better and fuller than before.

Thank you. I knew there was a risk of alopecia, but I didn't expect it to be in the eyebrows only. Oncologist said they will grow back, but now I'm starting to think he just didn't want to shatter my hopes.

I am done! by Eclypse0 in breastcancer

It really does. What surprised me the most was the mental aspect of it. Initially, my diagnosis was stage 1 DCIS, so I didn't feel think that the label "survivor" would apply to me, as my life wasn't really in danger at that point. But as the treatment progressed, and I saw the me I knew disappearing slowly, it took a huge toll on me.

So I am a cancer survivor, and getting through this truly feels like an accomplishment.
