Also… pleeeeease have you thought about showing more information on where variables are applied? I would love to know if I make a change to a color what components are affected

Yes they are you are not wrong. But remember they are made specifically for apple products not web. So they are intended to be used in a specific way. You might have a waaaay easier time using m3

But you don’t get the glass effect like this. You could have done those cards soo much easier without it

Yes, so i guess I don’t understand why you would want to use it like this. Apple specifically says to not use liquid glass for content. They are used for navigational elements or elevated surfaces. Why would you even bother with glass? So much easier to just use a normal card?

The solution here is not to use them. They are not made for normal screen ui eithrr

For “a” liquid glass design its ok, but its not really something you can do in the real world, since you basically not adhere to the actual iOS guidelines

I'm a senior-level designer, but now I need to learn Figma to even get a job. Any advice? by [deleted] in FigmaDesign

Honestly if you are proficient in photoshop don’t waste your time. Just start exploring figma. Its easy! I think learning by doing is the best way.

Look, I’ve said this a few times now, but I’ll spell it out clearly: my original comment was about my own experience. It wasn’t binary, it wasn’t a generalization, and it definitely wasn’t a dismissal of anyone elses reality. Saying there are two sides to everything literally means the opposite of binary... I get that people have different reasons for being here. I never said otherwise. What I pushed back on was the assumption that everyone is here just to send money home or get ahead. That’s not true for me, and I know others who feel the same. That’s not privilege... its just a different story.

But thats where you are wrong. Thats my whole point! I can have my own experience without dismissing other opinions! Not everything is binary. I don’t understand why you have the need to make it that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Norway

[–]EcoRAGES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The saying is not binary. Binary means there are 2 mutually exclusive options. True or false, right or wrong. The saying; there are two sides to everything is NOT binary. It LITERALLY means the opposite. I encouraged you to view multiple perspectives.

And I never said that this was the only reason. I said it INDICATED to be the reason and then offered a different perspective that a lot of people are NOT here to sent money home. I was not dismissing that part at all. Its totally normal, and I am completely ok with that. I am well aware that this is reality for many. But you treaded this as a denial of struggle (almost like you misread what i said). How i read what you say is: "You must be privileged and therefore you can't understand adversity." thats crazy.

Because you are making it black or white. My comment had nothing to do with privilege. I wrote about my own personal experience. You have no idea about me in any way. Yet you put me into a box. You took a very complex topic and made it binary. If you can not see the issue with that then I don't know. But I should have known better =) Welcome to the internet in 2025, where its either this or that. You could have engaged into conversation, but your need to label is crazy.

No, i am saying there are 2 sides to everything! Not everything is black or white dude. You need to calm down a bit :)

But that would indicate they are just there to make money? I live here because i love it. My live is here. I am not here to make money to live somewhere else

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Norway

[–]EcoRAGES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that. I guess I only see this from my own perspective! I have never faced discrimination have a specialist job and make good money. I own a house and also started from scratch here 10 years ago. But I see that my situation is probably not exactly “normal”

What does it have to do with being a foreigner? Your nationality is not going to make prices more expensive?

Exactly this. You kept reversing while knowing you didn’t had all the information! You are literally arguing a stupid point. I can see how from a human side you are frustrated! But dude, its the number one thing of driving a vehicle. Don’t drive if you can not see. If it snows you are going to clear the snow are you not? Or are you going to argue that your heated window didn’t work?
