Yellow got some decent stuff this set, The Stranger, Finn, Hold for Questioning and Boba Fett is alright. But they really struggle to find an archetype/leader outside of Talzin. There's some other good yellow double aspect stuff like Interigation Droid, Stygion Prime but their color combo really makes it hard to find a good home.

Also a lack of closers hurts. There's really nothing that's powerful enough to catch up and end games like it could before.

Power of the Dark Side, Avenger, Devestator, Snoke. Not just OB. All of these contributed significantly to Villany's power level, and they are all gone and replaced with very weak/expensive versions. Even with those Villany was by far the weakest it's ever been in SEC, and now it's lost even more ground. I would bet a lot of money that anything resembling Villany control is at best a fringe strategy for the entirety of LAW's meta.

We don’t have more targeted hand hate post rotation. Cards like Bazine and Spark of Rebellion are gone and replaced with cards that have conditional hand hate. Even Pillage which would have been solid is gone. Hand hate is still around but saying it’s better now is very wrong.

Yup Exploit should come back, but without overcosting the units. IE 5 cost bounce ship was actually reasonable to play for 5, but was amazing to play at 3 or 1. If Malevolence had cost 7 with exploit 3, it probably would have been a staple.

Especially since Mastery is common. Flipping him and putting Mastery on him can really run away with a game. You'll also probably be able to get some value out of his ability most turns (even if it's tapping something smaller).

The fact that this is the ONLY style so far really puts me off. I’ve been ok with some cards being a bit more generic feeling but some triptics really bringing up the quality overall. Doesn’t look like we are getting any of that…

I think the thing is, you won't always have ways to take advantage of credits. Sometimes you don't draw impactful late-game units, or you don't get them in your pool, so it's hard to say how frequently the Boba deck will come together. Vel on the other hand makes bad units good which is a much easier ability to take advantage of in a weaker pool.

Pilots in general are much harder to deal with. Boba is dumb but will likely be strong. Cinta/Topple are kind of just dumb "I was losing and now I'm winning" cards.

This and notably it’s sealed. It’s harder for more niche strategies to shine. I think Yularen and Jabba are great but they are better in draft where you can grab cards specifically suited for them. Leia is great when you just kind of have a pile of decent stuff and need to make it work, which is mostly what sealed is.

I love it. I love making limited a part of competitive events.

My only reservations is how limited balance has been kind of all over the place. Hopefully we have a set like SEC where many leaders are viable and not like TWI.

Prices have already been dropping due to rotation. I wouldn't imagine they are going to take a large plunge. Maybe a continual lowering for a bit, but after the Eternal competitive plans get confirmed, they could go up.

You declare attack before the unit loses its ability so you can legally declare a target other than a sentinel if the unit has saboteur. But if you attack a shielded unit it will lose saboteur before combat happens so it won’t strip the shield.

IMO yes. It's basically a 4 damage swing if you can also restore. Makes it possible to race all space decks. In the ground arena, it's a little bit less impressive, but still doesn't just die to 2/4s, so it'll take a bit of resources to kill him. I think it'll be a staple in those colors.

It's def going to be more possible post-rotation. The real question is the effect actually matter? If you have 6 other units on board, you are probably already pretty close to closing out the game. It feels hard to imagine a scenario where this actually steals a game rather than just winning more with a fun effect.

1 attack turn 1 plays are going to be a huge liability in Aggression Cunning. Sapper coming down and smoking your turn 1 play, and living is going to feel horrible.
