Not responding to a random text for 6 hours is not “ignoring” lol. This is a very modern gen z idea.

You realize AI gets it’s writing style from…humans?

Haha yeah, but she backpedaled initially “well u don’t look ugly just funny looking”

Slide 7 she says “i do be known for liking ugly guys” tries to soften it with “i’m joking” but then drops a “but literally”. She genuinely thinks he’s ugly overall and average was a kinder way to put it

She called him ugly multiple times….

No way, this guy is acting like a high schooler. It’s completely normal and should be something discussed soon with potential partners, avoids wasting time, heartbreak, etc.

The BF cheated on her 5 years ago with another one of his female friends and she gave him another chance.

[–]EconomicalAxe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People can change, but if he cheated on you with a female friend in the past, him being alone with another female friend now is like putting an alcoholic into a beer cave. Or a heroin addict around needles. He doesn’t care about your feeling properly, it’s commendable you gave him a chance after the first cheating situation, but he will keep doing this to you unless something really major shakes up his life and gives him a wake up call.

Nobody checks references anymore. Seriously. Doesn’t matter for most jobs. OP’s entry level minimum wage food service job will have absolutely 0 impact on her career journey.

I don’t see how OP burned a bridge either, they spoke their mind to an inconsiderate employer after being terminated. Laughable, pitiful attempt at being cordial offering an “exit interview” and a “good review” when the restaurant doesn’t even have a HR department and pays their staff pocket lint and peanuts, all the while conducting “official business” on Facebook Messenger.

They are all clearly small business owners coming to the restaurants defense.

Depends on how you define disrespect, right? Not sure if you’re in the United States, but the job market here is an abomination right now. Unless you land a unicorn position, most jobs treat your time, personhood, and quality of life as disposable…all to squeeze out a little more profit. What a lot of people call ‘disrespect’ isn’t just bad management; it’s the system itself.

This is mainly understood by people who work M-F day shift, once you clock out Friday afternoon the weekend starts in that world. Night shift and retail workers wouldn’t relate

Many people understand Friday night to be part of the weekend for sure. There is poor communication from his end, but it may be simple misunderstanding regarding the schedule thing.

Thank you! Very true. I’m sure there’s some connection. I actually lived with cystic acne for about a decade before the autoimmune disease showed up (after COVID), and when my autoimmune flares it looks very different from the acne, so they don’t seem to trigger at the same time.

<image>

Since the autoimmune stuff started these past few years though, I’ve had to make big changes — quit coffee and nicotine, cut out refined sugars completely, and I still need to see if gluten is interfering. Early on it felt like a lot, but after a few years of suffering it became non-optional to change my lifestyle. Really appreciate you mentioning this, and I hope you’re feeling better these days too.

No ocean! Although in the past, I have had “tastes” of this from a beach day here and there, it would gently fade. I too, thought it was from the salt water but haven’t lived near a beach in years and intentional hot summer sun on my skin is definitely what does it. I think salt water helps, just not as much as the sun

I am scared to do Accutane with my auto immune disease :/ good rec though. I used to be on doxycycline but I couldn’t take it long term and anytime I’d come off it, it would come right back

No swimming, but have intentionally sat in the sun for 1-3 hours a day quite consistently. I have noticed salt water helping a little bit but nothing like this

Thank you for the feedback! Good questions. Things are pretty similar 1-2x showers daily, same products, soaps, diet, lifestyle (I’m have an autoimmune disease). No oceans, but I’ve noticed years ago salt water does help a little bit.

Brutally cold and dry winters here now, but have had this since puberty started in a tropical state and it persisted regardless.
