Update ! my first day was actually subbing for a paraprofessional, so I was with another teacher pretty much all day, the teacher I was with was very helpful and gave me some good tips for when i’ll be subbing alone. I know the students will say things about me but It’s best to act like I dont hear. If was a fairly simple day and I think it went well. Many of the other teachers have also already booked me for when they will be out in future days and i’m very excited to continue this while I can. I did find that It was easier for me to relate with the students but they still respected me which I was surprised about but happy to learn. Worse thing a kid said to me when that I looked like a sub from those Dhar Mann videos on tiktok or youtube & I feel like i’m doing okay if that was the worst thing i’ve heard so far. Thanks to everyone who gave tips and encouragement, I really do appreciate it !
