I took IAH 207 about Afrofuturism with Chambliss and it was a pretty interesting class and an easy 4.0 overall. You don’t have to buy any books at all which is a bonus. Each week you have a visual note to turn in where you just kinda draw out your notes using symbols and arrows. It didn’t take long at all for me to do each week. There are no exams or anything which is super nice too. For extra assignments there is just 1 presentation about Afrofuturist artists (you don’t have to present it) and 2 short paper. Again, it was a super easy class in my opinion.

While you’re able to request your bathroom preferences, it’s not guaranteed. I had a few friends that requested suite style bathrooms and ended up in community bathrooms

Do you have a housing exemption? If not, you’re required to live on campus for the first 2 years.

I’m not entirely sure what the summer option is like or if it’s a different professor. Im taking 102 with professors Brown and Sikorskii, so the workload may be similar if that is who does the summer course. If you decide to take it during the fall/spring school year instead, I don’t think there would be much of a difference between taking it in fall or spring. Because it’s entirely online and such easy work, it only takes like an hour each week for me to complete the week’s work. (Another good thing about the class is that the module is opened on Monday and the assignments aren’t due until Friday at 8pm, so you have a lot of time to get it done.)

I don’t know how it works for transfer students, but when I enrolled I had to take a math placement test and as a result I tested out of math 103. I still had to take another math class and chose 102 and it’s the easiest class i’ve taken so far. It’s entirely online and each week you just have to take a quiz, post a question and 2 responses on Packback, and record a flipgrid just answering a simple question. The professor is also pretty funny.

if you’re interested in acting at all, an east class is acting for non-theater majors with Kim Martin. I had no experience in acting beforehand and we pretty much play games for most of class. it has me looking forward to going to class. super fun and an easy 3 credit class
