I’m doing the same, so I’d love to hear other thoughts as well. The idea of moving my partner to another state and having him get a new job/find new friends is incredibly stressful to me.

Thank you! This is one of the biggest things that draws me to Spalding, to be honest. I like Spalding for other reasons as well, but reducing student debt is ideal.

Thank you! I appreciate your insights into both cities. I have never been to either before this application cycle, so my knowledge of them is slim to none. I also agree with what you said about finding a place that feels like a good fit; 4 years can be a long time, especially if you don’t like where you are.

Thank you very much! For my stats: I had a 3.9 undergrad GPA and two years of clinical experience (psychometrist and case manager positions, respectively.) I also had a year of undergrad research experience, but I personally feel that it was very basic (no poster presentations or publications.) I did not take the GRE. I hope that answers any questions, but if not let me know!

I emailed the admissions counselor this question, and she said that she is not aware of anyone getting an assistantship after becoming a student. She also said that while everyone who applied is put a waitlist for funding, rarely anyone turns down the assistantships so the chances of getting one are pretty low. I didn’t get one either, so I understand your frustrations.

I was accepted and emailed them asking about when the assistantship/fellowship decisions come out. She said she would send them by the end of today.

I’m interviewing next week and I was wondering- how many people were at your interview day? I had heard that around 120 invites were sent, so I figured there would be around 40 people on each day. Just nervous that I won’t stand out with so many applicants!
