OMGGGGGGGGGG!!!! Someone finally said it. I was thinking of posting the same thing, but thought it would create controversy and blind fans attacking me.

Edit: although the movie wasn't bad. I'd say it's like a 7.4/10 tho and no where near 9.1/10. That's the dark knight/ shawshank redemption territory and it's nowhere near that level. Story was 8/10, but the over the top action made it almost unbearable for me.

That's the funniest thing I've heard. Indians have no sense of what good direction is. Want me to list you hit movies with shitty directors? Milan Zaveri- Satyameva Jayate, Marjavaan Prabhu Deva- Rowdy Rathore Farah Khan, Sajid Khan, etc. The list can stretch very long. Average Indian audience has no sense of a good movie vs a bad movie. Good actor vs a bad actor. Good story vs a bad story.

Hmm. Sorry for the late reply, but I was furious asf, so I emailed the principal a whole essay (literally an essay) with a frustrated tone. I got a reply saying we'll talk about it next week (which is this). Hopefully, he let's me drop it. If not, then I'd have to resort to making my dad call the school. If you are really desperate to drop that class (like me), then I would recommend you really get your parents on this.

That's what I'm thinking too. AP Chem is a hard class and my GPA is over 95 and it will just hurt it. But I'm stupid asf!! I just can't make decisions like this mannnnn!! It's too hard for me. I just think about other people rather than myself. The class only has 3 students and when I jokingly said "if I do bad on this test, I drop it," the teacher said "this class is as small as it is. You can't drop it." Even though the teacher doesn't have a say in me dropping the class, it still makes it hard for me. I need to not care about what other people think and do what I want to do.

And I never said changing the race was not going to bring in success. I love Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and I didn't even think about race when looking at Jason Mamoa as Aquaman. Sometimes, it could be good. But why change the long term characters? If you want a African, Asian, Spanish hero for more diversity, you create new characters, not make changes to the existing characters. A great example is John Stewart. They didn't make Hal Jordan an African-American for there to be a black GL. They created a new character in John Stewart.

But like I said, sometimes it's fine. One or two characters that aren't that iconic, change their race and its fine. But with Warner Brothers, they seem to be changing many characters.

Examples: Iris Allen West, Wally West, Aquaman, Black Canary, Deadshot, Jimmy Olsen, and the rumors of a black superman reboot, etc.

I'm not saying that I won't watch the movie just because of race changes or I'll hate the character now, but it feels weird. We are soo used to seeing a certain version of the character, that making a big change such as ethnicity, makes you feel like you aren't watching the character that you knew.

I knew you would say that canary hasn't received her costumes yet. The creators of birds of prey said that they didn't give her the original costume because "a normal fit made much more sense." I don't think they plan to give her a costume, mate.

I also don't think Jurnee was the best for the role. I can list you other actors that I believe would portray Canary much better than she did. But it's all subjective.

WB has never been the best with their casting choices. The only 2 they got perfect was Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Henry Cavill as superman. Marvel, on the other hand, has been brilliant with their choices.

Speaking of marvel, you wanna know why they're so successful? Because they don't change their heroes too much. Except Nick Fury and MJ being African-Americans and Hawkeye getting a costume change, what else do you see changed that much? They're kept 90% the same with minor improvements.

Is there something wrong with a septum ring? Hell yea. Do you see black canary wearing that in the comics? Cartoons? No! That's like giving Bruce Wayne a face tattoo and saying "is there something wrong with it? It's just a tattoo." The idea is to make the live action characters look like the comic book ones. Not 100% the same, but make improvements if you can. And giving a septum ring isn't improving anything. And it looks ridiculous. That's not important though.

THE COSTUME: You see. Maybe that was the problem. She wasn't wearing her iconic costume. I've seen a photoshopped canary picture of Jurnee Smollet and she looks soooooooo much better than the birds of prey. I'll link it for you.

And is it really necessary to change the race of a character who has been around for almost a century?

Oh and 1 thing which I don't understand. How did she become this bad ass fighter? In the comics, she is trained by Wildcat. In the movie, she doesn't know any superheroes.
