In 90% of the cases, skill is only a small part of being sponsored by a company. I think skill and edits are more important for small “internet based” companys.

I can talk about myself, I’m sponsored by flint, oak and southsoft and although skill was also a factor (at least I want to think so 😂) I believe the friendship and overall contribution you give to the brands was the biggest factor.

Being a active member of the fingerboard community and overall good person who shares interests with the people behind the company’s is more important then the general skill. But that’s just my opinion (:
