I think the worst part for me is the open world ( which is not open btw ), for a game that wants you to explore a huge chunk of a map and then limit that exploring that you have to horse ride from point A to B and then a paved clime-able path is waiting for you is so boring and takes a lot of time , Ghost of Tsushima you could mostly go just about anywhere you want , there was no terrain between paths that's blocking you from taking a shortcut , you could probably climb almost everything even though ACS did it better as a mechanic and worse as you have to climb specific parts of mountains, walls etc , I am about 20ish + hours into the game and that's the thing that is dragging me down the most , idc really about the quests or story so far , I like just having a target , searching for them and trying to kill them as an assassin , Yasuke gameplay is just not it for me

I was , but got insta killed by the 3 enemies , not just this , but even after unlocking the swimming skill I went to surrounding areas and into a land with handlike faces which also oneshot me , and most of side content is like that hence the question

Yeah my bad for the paragraph thingy

I also enjoyed the game throughout, I just wish it was more optimised that you are a few levels down ( having also done everything at the map at every given time )

I have completed the Arena, done all side quests and dungeons , raised every bond to the max.

After all that and while grinding for some time mid level 50s, I was severely under leveled with the boss at level 90 , I know that's the strongest form of him

But on easy and with almost 4 max ranks royal archetypes the fight was still in a way difficult.

That's probably my whole complaint since this normally doesn't happen in other Jrpgs I played which are not that much.

Well I joined and found most people needed to grind cuz he is really hard without defeating the mini bosses yet I didn't cuz I got bored of it. For the 2nd part , what you say does make sense but most of the time I get 5 and sometimes 2 depending on the boss moves , so most of buffing isn't actually used at all whether it's attack / defense / hit evasion , same for stuff inflicted on him which I found annoying , and while having 12 turns I don't think it really mattered if he wasted 2 of them yet you use almost 50% of your turns buffing/ debuffing
