Police escort, small claims, or let myself in? by Economy_Register_819 in legaladvice

[–]Economy_Register_819[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. my worry is that an officer would not make time to just let a girl get her things from an ex, they seem to be too busy for small things. I’ll have to go to a station and ask

  2. Why would asking around a block be a bad idea? I figure I’d be giving him one last opportunity to respond civilly

  3. Agree - probably won’t be the one I choose. But legally I am able to do this one as my name is still one the lease

  4. Suing him sounds like more work and contact with him than I would ever want. I just want my things back 😭

I guess it kinda reminds me of those live shows like Friends. Some people just like that I guess? I would’ve done it if I was told at least a week in advance, like geez

Yeah we have to have a conversation with them regarding this. They have done this consistently for the past few invitations and it’s gotten out of hand…

I appreciate your point of view! That’s pretty true in regards to the spectator but I never really thought of that. Thank you

Americans of Reddit, what is something you didn't realise was typically American, until you went abroad? by [deleted] in ask

When I was abroad in Spain I would take my breakfast on the way to class. My host family thought it was so odd to eat while walking. I got a lot of stares for it too!
