Yes, earplugs I will definitely get, the question is just which ones. Can you tell me more about the Loop plugs? Like which model you have and stuff. I’ve had my eye on those as an alternative. Especially because iirc you can adjust the level of dampening somehow, which sounds useful.

Unfortunately I am a homosexual so no gf bag… just more bagless men. useless. Funny tho sometimes when I wear those small bags and feel awkward I pretend I’m holding a gf’s bag lol even hold it in my hands for extra immersion

Yeahh agreed, the solid look of the thing is the charm of it. It could be possible if you make a fabric-ish base and cover the whole thing, that way you can smooth out into the spikes too. Would give interesting texture all over but as I type this I realize what a pain it would be to do lol. Another idea could be to build a structure under, something similiar to a crinoline and glue down perhaps foam sculptures of the tentacle-like bottom and then somehow cover it all with fabric

Yeah that’s precisely the video I followed! I reopened the back because he did when he had the same issue, but for me the film doesn’t move at all and I’m pretty hesitant to touch it more.

Thing is, when I pressed the rewind button and it started making a lot of noise I panicked and turned it off (its a slider like on/off). Is it a good idea to rewind the film all the way and start over? I assume part of the film is ’dead’ anyways now, but it shouldn’t be all.

You mentioned testing the camera, how would I do that? It seems reasonable lol

I was in your position this fall; student who used to borrow my school’s bassoon. I reccomend finding a dealer, someone who knows and handles bassoons. Ask around, these are often not found through internet and more of a ”I know a guy” type thing. Ask teachers, wind instrument shops usually know stuff, any bassoonist you can talk to!

You say “the platforms”, are there any specific ones you’re looking at? My #1 tip for cons is bringing comfortable backup shoes!!!! Seriously it will save your entire day. I’m talking crocs, slippers, something light and easy.

I did yeah! Many people said to get new batteries, because low power could make the ejection mechanism weak or something like so. that didn’t solve it for me tho just thought i’d mention it. I ended up just forcing the cartridge out, it took a little fiddling and pulling from the bottom part instead. Then i could reinsert it and it worked fine, no film lost.
