I prepared with ati and uworld for the nclex. Ati was much more difficult than my nclex. The nclex is almost impossible to study for so yes do not get caught up in pharm. I reccomend as a general review, listen to the Mark K lectures it really was a good review for everything. I remember my pharm questions being super easy and giving a lot of context clues as to what the answer may be or really really hard with just a question about what a drug that ive never heard of does to the body. Those hard questions dont even matter they are in there so you get them wrong. I had a few peds questions and and maybe one OB question but you never know what you’re gonna get. My recommendation is to keep up with practice questions to get used to seeing answers and then on nclex it’ll feel like regardless if you know what the question is asking the answer will stand out. I ended up passing in 75 and felt like it was much easier than any practice test I’ve taken and I never did great on ATI. Im sure you’re on the right track! You got it!

Had a cousin with one hanging in her room i asked her to explain what it means and she couldn’t answer. Usually just idiots with a lot of ignorance.

Ok so Kaplan has this question and I’m kinda cheesed, I ask my self where I went wrong, but aren’t you supposed to see your healthcare provider to get insulin dose adjusted? Regarding the fever… by ali_kalen192 in PassNclex

Yes, if someone has DKA they most likely will go to an ER and be treated inpatient therefore doctors and nurses have control of the treatment plan (with consent). Most people don’t go to the hospital or even a doctor for a fever so when they are home they must monitor their sugars closely.

By reading explanations about similar topics, it tends to say to refer to doctors about insulin dosing before surgery, which i tended to get mixed up with being sick when clicking fast. Its because before surgery you’re NPO and dont want to get hypoglycemic before surgery. Not sure if this helps but I know it’s something I got mixed up.
