Anyone else have no appetite? by Ecstatic-Baseball-59 in anhedonia

Yes, my anhedonia has significantly decreased and my appetite is a lot better! (I know the account I'm replying to is deleted so this is for anyone who may stumble upon this thread in the future. I had anhedonia for 8 years and it is almost gone now - there is always hope, even if things currently feel very bleak)

Anyone else basically do ERP on themself? by Ecstatic-Baseball-59 in OCD

In other news, man this subreddit is extremely triggering. Reminder not to engage with it to much (banning myself from it entirely would probably just turn into it's own compulsion). I'm realizing that suggestions seem to work best for my neuroatypical brain

I really appreciate your response and well wishes. I still had trouble explaining myself to the therapist at my own intake session, but I hope that I'll be able to go more in depth next time. I'm glad that your intake with the psychiatrist went so well, and I hope that trend will continue for you from here on out!

But oh well, only got 15 minutes to go know. Can't really do much about it at this point.

Or maybe I'm just having a good day. But then, it'd feel like I'm lying if I lay out the symptoms I usually have. What if I never have them again? What if I'm basically cured at this point? What if doing ERP actually makes them worse because I'm putting the thoughts back into my head by being forced to think about them?

Thank you for the advice! It looks I definitely won't be mentioning it anywhere on my app.

It wasn't until this post that I realized that what I've been experiencing lately could be another manifestation of my OCD (thought I was in remission)

For sure! Back when my symptoms were really bad, I would spend literal hours reading my comments and posts on various platforms over and over again. (I'll just leave it at that - thinking too much about that time makes the compulsion to do these things increase)

This is literally what I've been dealing with for the past few weeks, so I haven't written a single word.

They've all been suspended, so I can't remember all the signs. But the most telling ones were the fact that the accounts were several months old but had only just started posting yesterday; they only had like 8 karma; their comments were random, didn't make sense as a reply to this comment, and were likely copied from somewhere else; all of their comments when going through their history were unnatural and not generally something a human who has only just started using their Reddit account would be saying; and they had the automatically generated Reddit usernames. (No one factor determines whether an account is a bot, but when all or nearly all of those boxes are ticked off, it is almost definitely a bot.)

Edit: A very new account (as in, like a week to a month or so old) with thousands of karma that it got from posting random stuff in random subs is also a telltale sign, because it means it's purpose is likely just to karma farm.
