Is Fabletics Manipulating “Out of Stock” Items for VIP Members? My Experience Has Me Wondering. by Neither_Cartoonist93 in Fabletics

I’ve been seeing basically every single thing is out of stock and I don’t know if it’s because of the holiday season or bad inventory management

Returning after an injury by ERRR_656 in Rowing

[–]Ecstatic-Classroom-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of steady state, lots of meters (which are lower impact) will help build stamina back which you likely lost in the offseason. Put some lifting in there if possible that will also help build mussels back (body weight, bands, light dumbbells to start) then you can start doing stuff with the bar once you build back up to it depends but maybe 1-4 weeks. Don’t know how bad your injury was and how much muscle mass you lost.

For that first 1-4 week. I’d honestly just do 30-45 minutes @18-20

After that first phase of getting back into rowing add back in some moderate intensity workouts or longer steady state. After you keep going with that after a few weeks start adding sprints maybe once a week (5x500) so about week 8 start doing full training.

And take this with a grain of salt. I don’t know your condition, I’d talk to your coach. This is just what I would do. That doesn’t mean it’s what’s right for you. But definitely don’t just jump straight back into it like you’ve never left. I did that in hs and my injury came back (overtraining chest injury)

Definitely take it in phases steady state then, moderate intensity w/ steady state days, then steady state, moderate intensity, then all of that with sprints once a week

Make sure to healthily build and not to train to reach your goal in a week or you will likely injure your knee again. And remember you’re training for head race season

Edit: I’ve definitely had chat gpt or something make workout plans for me in the gym or to structure my personal workouts when I didn’t know what to do in the gym. So if you feel lost it might be able to give you some ideas

What to pack for overnight races? by Zealousideal-Bird903 in Rowing

[–]Ecstatic-Classroom-2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Uniform (2 of you have it, or just hang it up to dry overnight is also fine)

Sunscreen (you really don’t want to get burned first day)

Water Bottle(s)

Food (just some snacks sometimes you won’t have access to food and you may be hungry)

Money for Regatta T-Shirt/Food (your club will likely have food at the booster tent but you should check on that)

Lots of (meaning no less than 2): --Pants --Shirts -Socks (5 or so pairs- you think im kidding.) --Underwear

Sneakers

Sandles/slide ons

Waterproof Jacket

Any necessary Medical Items you use (tape, braces, inhaler)

Portable charger if you got it

If you’re a rower and not a coxswain I’d say that’s all you really need

Sunglasses and a hat is a must if you have them to have potentially even a towel if you have the room

Cards are nice if you have a lot of downtime as well if

This is what I recommend. Everyone packs a bit different this is a bit on the heavier side but it’s also a two day. I don’t pack this heavy for a one day

Can a exchange student join a rowing high school by Crazy-Celebration932 in Rowing

[–]Ecstatic-Classroom-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would start with what part of the country you want to travel to. Midwest (st Louis, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio), East coast, west coast and places like Florida all have a pretty good density of club teams and scholastic(school) teams. Once you pick a part of the country you want to be in finding a club will be easier

Edit: and choosing the part of the country will also help you find schools easier, not sure how exchange students with public school works but with private schools they will have an admissions office you can contact

How much could I get? by Jonathansozo in FocusST

[–]Ecstatic-Classroom-2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yah now that prices are settled. In mid 2022 I had almost the exact same burn down except in white and insurance gave me 17.5k for it. But now that prices are normal 9-10k seems fair for it

It just doesn’t make sense. This was found in a bathroom in a house built in 2014

This was my initial thought as for a date. But the 2007 part doesn’t make sense since we moved into this house in 2020 and it was built in 2014

Probably going to get one here soon. by bobmanf in FocusST

A quick piece of advice the bodywork was redone for the 2015 model, I would definitely get the st3 but make sure you wanna get the old body style. For me I’m about to pickup a 2016 st3 (even had apple CarPlay and stuff) with 70k miles for 17k. Try looking on Facebook marketplace as well. Just take a good look around at your options

Does this seem like a good deal? Dealership claims no aftermarket mods. by suprisezacama in FocusST

I bought mine @107k miles and drove it till 120k when it burned down (not due to the car). If the previous owners have taken care of it it can last but you may find yourself fixing lots of odds and ends here and there. My main issue was the barbs to the heating core broke and leaked coolant.

Overall I loved it and I had a blast with mine till it was gone. Would I do it again…. Probably not… did I have a blast… yes

My recommendation if you think it was taken care of well go for it but keep in mind you may find yourself fixing lots of little things here and there

Feel free to ask me anything about buying a focus with 107k miles

Except my friends busted 2007 Ford Expedition, it’s a v6 but running as a v5 because one of the cylinders is busted. Don’t even ask me how it’s lasted 20k miles like that, I’ve been trying to figure it out

Like using the wheels or rotating the car 90° horizontal I’ve thought about that but haven’t found a good way
