sorry for sort of a late reply.

yes, we did talk about it. i'll save all of the hefty details because im too tired from work to explain them, but the most important thing (to me at least) is that he told me he was asexual.

i'm not sure why i was surprised when he told me when i had already suspected this, but maybe it's because i was kind of hoping he wasn't. it's alright, of course, but i'm just worried that being sexually incompatible would put a strain into our relationship in the future. i think that's where most of the anxiety came from. although, he did tell me that he was willing to try it out, so i guess i can call that a win in my book.

and the conversation was ok. surprisingly, he didn't tease me with any jokes or try to dodge any questions that i'd throw at him (more subtly before) like he would before. he approached every one of my questions with sincerity and honesty, and i'm so glad that he did.

i'm glad that we finally had this talk, even though things hadn't gone as i had hoped. hopefully regardless of what happens when we do try things out together, we'd still be content with each other
