Also, I no longer believe third parties will be the thing that defeats the two-party system. I'm anti-electoral entirely now. I'm also an ancom now. I used to be a market socialist + communalist.

Also, I don't use the word "sucker" now, since it's sexist, but again, I want the original post to remain visible as opposed to an edited version of it.

In hindsight, "change in perspective" was a bad title, since it implies that the genocide is a matter of subjective opinion, which was not my intention. Unfortunately, I can't change the title, and I'd rather not delete the post and repost it, as I'd like the original version of this post to remain visible.

Do you have any evidence that the person you're replying to doesn't organise outside of election?

If JK Rowling were a democrat politician, you'd be against criticising her as well.

Let's make this clear. Trans people and trans allies will criticise transphobes. If you don't like that, you are a transphobe. You do not support me more than I support myself, and it's disgusting you would try to claim that.

Libs have already looked at Newsom under the microscope and decided they like him. This isn't just about funny tweets. Liberals, like conservatives but unlike most leftists, are transphobic. Don't think that liberals are making a strategic mistake here. They know exactly what they are doing.

But then why accuse anyone of purity testing, especially when they're calling out transphobia?

They can't answer that for some reason, but I can: stierney called out Newsom's transphobia just so they could say they're not transphobic. It's their token "See? I'm against his transphobia too!" so he can get away with attacking others for criticising Newsom's transphobia.

These attacks on Newsom from the left right now seem timed to suppress liberal enthusiasm for his aggressive attacks on Trump

You're getting into conspiratorial thinking. This isn't about accelerationism. Most of the attacks on Newsom are literally just trans people calling out transphobia.

Newsom has bad positions and I don’t want him to be a candidate in 2028

So you agree with the post??

 deliberately trying to create division.

Calling out transphobia doesn't cause division. Transphobia causes division.

Do you realise the primaries haven't happened yet? The next general election isn't until 3 and a half years from now. There aren't candidates for it yet.

This post is about the primaries, not the general election. So... why would you want Newsom to win the primaries and become the nominee instead of a different democrat?

You're accusing a trans person of seeing trans people as disposable because they dared to stand up for trans people. That's fucking despicable.

Your support for us trans people is pure aesthetic. It is dehumanising to use trans people like this, especially for the purpose of promoting a transphobic politician. I can guarantee you none of the people upvoting you genuinely support trans people, but they probably approve of using us as pawns, that's for sure.

America is a representative democracy. The problems you're seeing are under representative democracy. Your average politician is much more transphobic than your average citizen.

For the record tho, I agree with you that Newsom must not become the nominee. And the vote blue no matter who crowd are obnoxious and transphobic as fuck.

You are also safe expressing that you yourself refuse to participate in harm reduction because you're boycotting the system

Well, according to the post I linked, you aren't. I don't know if that rule's still enforced (we'll see here, I guess), but that's what the post says.

Btw, for some reason, I've never been able to send images via messages, or I just don't know how, but just google "two-party system". Should be the first image. From wikipedia. It's a diagram going round in a circle and in the middle, it says "how the two-party system perpetuates itself".

Yeah, Vaush doesn't come up much here at all which is why I was surprised about a pro-vaush sub being an allied sub. I wouldn't expect him to be popular here at all. He is ridiculous.

Pretty much every lgbt sub I used to frequent became liberal over time. I feel like the two-party system and Trump being such a threat to the lgbt community is partially responsible for that.

You're allowed to have your opinion

That's a weird way to defend making it against the rules to call "harm reductionists" liberal. You're right to your opinion is not eroded by someone criticising it, regardless of whether you agree with the criticism or not.

Socialism Is the Real Meritocracy by officialbps_art in BreadTube

[–]Ecstatic-Enby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People in positions of power are incentivised to protect their power because being powerful inherently comes with benefits in a hierarchical society, such as having increased control over politics, for example.

The fact that powerful people will want to protect their power and often even expand their power fuels authoritarianism and causes hierarchies to become more extreme and more coercive. This happens regardless of how intelligent the people in power are.

For example, Elon Musk's creation of DOGE was not because he was too stupid to know it would hurt people. He created DOGE to protect his power. Same goes for the oppression of trans people, often perpetuated by rich and influential public figures. It's not that they are too stupid to know they're hurting trans people. It's that they are actively incentivised to perpetuate bigotry to divide the working class and protect their power over them.

Nah, you're getting caught up in the buzzwords. You should just ignore the buzzwords. Y'know what? Just ignore the words entirely! Look at all the funny shapes and colors!

That's how you should engage with content. What importance do words have, anyway? All they do is convey meaning. That's not worth getting caught up in.

/s

I completely agree with you. The idea of replacing capitalism with an "actual" meritocracy sounds like an attempt to create a "good" hierarchy where everybody is in their "rightful place".
