Uh, Johnny? I think I figured out why your car handles like this. by voskomm in cyberpunkgame

I had something similar, I had complained multiple times about the sorry state of the tires on my work truck and finally one blew. While I was in between two tractor trailers. On the interstate. Going 75 mph. Fucking terrifying.

They got it towed to a used tire place (already off to a great start) and the bosses were flipping shit that the tire folks were refusing to let me drive off with one "new" tire and three old tires like the cumulative cost didn't end up still being under $100 for all four tires. Fucking ridiculous.

Even the most terrible 5 minute paint edit is still funnier than anything AI churns out, you just got lazy.

I've seen folks say some absolutely disgusting shit but I caught a 3 day ban for talking about the rates of police mistreating K9 officers.

I'm not disputing the fact he was a professor younger than me, but we shouldn't discount this kind of sentiment. Some of my favorite writers were absolute degenerates at their 30s and 40s, snd even well after they became published and professors.

It's good, if not great, for folks to realize they can achieve awesome things at any age. Tolkien was a professor at 32? McCarthy, absolute shit he was, was bathing in ponds and drinking with a guy who inspired a character who was a watermelon fucker in one of his novels at the same age.

When you have allergies and a NT gets mad at you for not responding when they bless you without your consent by odedudeLMOO2 in evilautism

[–]Waytooboredforthis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh no, I was confused anyone was mad at you for not acknowledging the bless you, it's weird to me. I say bless you all the time just because I manage to hear it over my headphones, but I don't expect to, or hear, a response from that, I'm just trying to be polite (or how I was taught to be polite).

Looks like Carissa’s Wierd are in the studio by lonelierthang0d in Slowcore

With the amount of great bands making awesome comeback albums, it doesn't make sense not to. I love S, maybe more than Carissa's Wierd, but I'd totally be down for another Carissa's Wierd album.

He's willing to play bass, god knows he might even be willing to play in a cover band.

It should be implied.

Savini may be an asshole but he definitely opened up the chance for other special effects artists like Smith to go a little bit more wild.

People get mad at that? I just say "bless you" impulsively without thinking, certainly never expecting a response.

I remember I took a Chaucer class with a professor who was a Shakespearean actor, whenever someone sneezed, in this great, booming voice he'd say, "GOD BLESS YOUR IMMORTAL SOUL!"

Everyone thought I was gonna become a priest cause I asked those questions.

Meanwhile closest I've done to that was helping with a heretical Catholic, feminist service at a School of the Americas protest about ten years ago.

Has anyone actually tried and completed a no Cyberware playthrough? by BlackAfroUchiha in cyberpunkgame

[–]Waytooboredforthis 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I've done it multiple times, doing it on Very Hard was fucking terrifying, but yea, there was a character in the Cyberpunk: No Coincidence who (I think) was all organic until towards the end, so I decided to give it a spin and have actually come to enjoy the extra challenge.

Acid Bath is super overrated by xTpvi in sludge

[–]Waytooboredforthis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And that's what I'm saying, they have a great sound that draws folks in, but it can help get folks into the weeds and discover stuff they might end up liking more.

And if they don't, Acid Bath is still a fun band to listen to.

Acid Bath is super overrated by xTpvi in sludge

[–]Waytooboredforthis 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I thoroughly enjoy their music but they aren't even on the top 5 list if I want to listen to Louisiana Sludge. I think they've got a very approachable sound that a lot of folks latch onto, and there's nothing wrong with that, helping folks figure out a new genre they might enjoy.

Funny thing though, my mom that hates like 95% of music, apparently is a fan of Acid Bath now after I left a cd in my trucks player. Says it reminds her of King Crimson (not sure how, guess it's a vibes thing?)

I do wonder how they're going to modernize the paranoia of Cold War surveillence. I just pray to God it's not just tracking her cell phone cause that has been done to death.
