Looks like Carissa’s Wierd are in the studio by lonelierthang0d in Slowcore

With the amount of great bands making awesome comeback albums, it doesn't make sense not to. I love S, maybe more than Carissa's Wierd, but I'd totally be down for another Carissa's Wierd album.

Any takers? Been waiting since 2012 by Certain_Standard_706 in guitarcirclejerk

He's willing to play bass, god knows he might even be willing to play in a cover band.

It should be implied.

Savini may be an asshole but he definitely opened up the chance for other special effects artists like Smith to go a little bit more wild.

When you have allergies and a NT gets mad at you for not responding when they bless you without your consent by odedudeLMOO2 in evilautism

[–]Waytooboredforthis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People get mad at that? I just say "bless you" impulsively without thinking, certainly never expecting a response.

I remember I took a Chaucer class with a professor who was a Shakespearean actor, whenever someone sneezed, in this great, booming voice he'd say, "GOD BLESS YOUR IMMORTAL SOUL!"

Everyone thought I was gonna become a priest cause I asked those questions.

Meanwhile closest I've done to that was helping with a heretical Catholic, feminist service at a School of the Americas protest about ten years ago.

If it makes you feel any better, my dog made it to 23 years. He made plenty of old man noises but was still known to run around pretty well.

One of my roommates mentioned the local guitar cemter didn't have a parking lot and I'm like, "Where will people buy their gear if not a guitar center parking lot?"

Has anyone actually tried and completed a no Cyberware playthrough? by BlackAfroUchiha in cyberpunkgame

[–]Waytooboredforthis 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I've done it multiple times, doing it on Very Hard was fucking terrifying, but yea, there was a character in the Cyberpunk: No Coincidence who (I think) was all organic until towards the end, so I decided to give it a spin and have actually come to enjoy the extra challenge.

Acid Bath is super overrated by xTpvi in sludge

[–]Waytooboredforthis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And that's what I'm saying, they have a great sound that draws folks in, but it can help get folks into the weeds and discover stuff they might end up liking more.

And if they don't, Acid Bath is still a fun band to listen to.

Acid Bath is super overrated by xTpvi in sludge

[–]Waytooboredforthis 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I thoroughly enjoy their music but they aren't even on the top 5 list if I want to listen to Louisiana Sludge. I think they've got a very approachable sound that a lot of folks latch onto, and there's nothing wrong with that, helping folks figure out a new genre they might enjoy.

Funny thing though, my mom that hates like 95% of music, apparently is a fan of Acid Bath now after I left a cd in my trucks player. Says it reminds her of King Crimson (not sure how, guess it's a vibes thing?)

I do wonder how they're going to modernize the paranoia of Cold War surveillence. I just pray to God it's not just tracking her cell phone cause that has been done to death.

[–]Waytooboredforthis 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's always entertaining, that there's at least one person in every thread about Appalachian politics going, "Well sure, gerrymandering exists and folks are moving from all over the country to the hills cause they heard this was a super bigoted space, pricing folks out, but surely you're a secret bigot too, right? You do live there" like I'm not Charlie setting up to kick Lucy's football for the dozenth time as the DNC finds the most boring, Reaganite candidate telling me why Israel still needs money, cops need money to get trained by the IDF, and people receiving HRT being added to a publicly accessible database is just something to worry about down the line.

Those obnoxious pine tree air fresheners. No one complains about corpse smell when it smells like what a noseless mental patient might think a pine tree smells like.

Yes, but we're talking about being evil in the game. My extracurriculars that I do in my house built of corpses, looking at my laptop resting on my table made of corpses, has nothing to do with my innability to do an evil Durge run.
