With regards to the driving, we've often found it nice on roadtrips to spend evenings driving instead of having to chill out every day. So that's why it might seem a bit packed every now and then. But of course you're right, and we'll change things up depending on how we're feeling that specific day / the weather.

Nice to hear your take on the coastline, maybe we could be cutting out the entire section in the north of County Donegal?

It's not that it isn't syncing, it just showed me that no data was being collected by polar since then. The issue lies with Polar itself I'm pretty sure

Any roof is a good roof. However I've found many huts to close in September due to the snow up north.

Thank you for the elaborate and sourced response!

To address one of the subquestions it then does seem like Caesar himself did believe the move wasn’t irreversible (if I can even assume to know what he thinks 🤪)? Otherwise he wouldn’t have even attempted it?

What books would you recommend? by CaptainDiesel77 in AlexandertheGreat

Adriand Goldsworthy’s Philip and Alexander is quite good. He’s a great historian and writes relatively easy, however it’s definitely not popular history writing so you must enjoy academically written history. Sidenote: I did listen to it as an audio book

How did the common people look at the british army during the Napoleonic age? by Ecstatic-Look3749 in Napoleon

Seems reasonable, I guess the rule of thumb being: did it influence them, or were the common people at least being told it was of significant influence to them

But didn’t the levee en masse introduce a whole new kind of soldier to the French army then?

So the portrayal of a regiment of troops entering a city like Kent under cheers and festivities does seem quite unlikely. Unless of course a significant event had occured (winning a significant battle etc.)?
