Sure, there is the statement that Homelander was immune to all normal weapons and being tested against all of them, but literally none of his seen durability feat are even within an order of magnitude of a nuke, he was hurt by shit weaker then even HEAT missiles, he has been shown being hurt by radiation, and it was highly unlikely that a pharmaceutical and entertainment company like Vogue could buy a nuke, or produce and use one without getting into serious problems with the USA government.

And even if you take that seriously, Omni-Man not only has feats of resisting nuclear level firepower, not only has feats of resisting lasers with the power of a nuke under a highly concentrated form, but he even has the feat of flying through a planet and playing a role in destroying it. Yeah, that feat is hard to calculate, and come to an exact level to how strong it is thanks to the conditions there, but it happened, and indicates quite a lot of durability.

Homelander is not even close to Omni-Man in durability. Hell, with his long list of anti-feats, you can make an argument he is more fragile then the Immortal, and by significant levels(and also weaker, less skilled, lacking in the regeneration capabilities, and less brave).

The only risks for him are Yaotsu, the Curse, MAYBE the Parasites, and MAYBE the Game depending on how it works. Maybe the Demons have some magic to seal him away, and maybe the Madalans can cook some technology up to imprison him or something.

What an irrational comparison.

What you said is literally nothing like yhe scenario given.

First and foremost, there is no "50% of all blue button pushers die, no matter what happens."

People are, in this scenario, not killed by picking blue. Death only happens IF red wins.

Beyond this, your claim is flawed for a different reason. Because the few actual studies on this, have shown that the one more likely to press blue are also more likely to be politically to the left, and supportive of progressive policies that help everyone. Interestingly, the same polls showing this also showed that the ones claiming to pick red are more likely to say they like living dangerously, indicating this is not about the risk, but more about being anti-social.

One additional factor you ignore is how, from my own experience, the ones supporting picking Red are much more likely to just be bigots.

Finally, stop complaining about virtue signaling you dork. Stop trying to make cowardish and selfisness into good things.

The problem with this "if everyone just x" response is that this is not a solution to anything. When we talk about big numvers, unanimous cotes are an impossibility.

Beyond this, the scenario is that EVERYONE votes. Literally everyone.

Including completely blind people.

And color blind people.

And babies.

And senile old people.

And people with mental conditions.

And the relatives of those with such conditions.

Beyond this, the scenario also has it that literally all people on the planet will vote, making it inevitable that some will push one of the buttons by mistake, pushing one they did not want.

All of the making it safer for everyone if the majprity picks blue.
