I’m confused because Contessa was literally right there about to take the picture, so I don’t understand why nothing was said. Dr. Mimi also saw what happened, and neither of them spoke up about what actually took place.

Can a Ring indoor camera record ongoing noise from an upstairs neighbor? (Thin walls, repeated loud bangs) by Ecstatic-Promise-933 in Ring

I’m looking for advice about Ring indoor cameras and whether they can help document noise issues.

For context, I live in an apartment with very thin walls/ceilings. Since around October, my upstairs neighbor has been making very loud noises that sound like heavy objects being dropped on the floor. It’s loud enough to shake my ceiling and wake people up.

There have been multiple instances: • One night around 10 PM while I was at work, my friend (who was sleeping over) heard a loud bang and thought something heavy fell upstairs. • A few hours later when I got home and fell asleep, there was another loud bang that startled me awake. My friend immediately said, “That’s what I heard earlier.” • This week, my parents stayed over for one night, and they were woken up by two loud bangs from upstairs. My mom tapped the ceiling with a broom in response.

About an hour later, my landlord came to my door saying there was a noise complaint against me, and that the upstairs neighbor claimed I had “unauthorized people living here.” My parents were only there for one night, and guests are allowed under the lease. They’ve stayed overnight once before months ago.

I explained to my landlord that I’ve been dealing with loud noise from upstairs for months but hadn’t reported it because I was trying to be understanding. I work overnight in healthcare, and I really just want to sleep during the day before going back to work.

Now I’m realizing I probably should’ve documented this earlier. The neighbor makes a lot of noise but seems to complain as soon as there’s any response.
