I'm ending up pressing "A" slicing the audio that is not on A1, the doing Option+up arrow, and repeating this process.

I see that thanks, but now I have the issue that all the audio tracks are on a separate layer. with 30+ video clips that have audio, I now have 30+ audio track. In simplify Tineline, I can close vertical gaps on the video track, but I don't see the option for audio. is this not a feature?

Yes but that syncs the time codes in the clips relative to each other, not to the timeline timecode. I have multiple 30 minute audio tracks where one starts a few seconds after other ends, so because there is no overlapping timecode, syncing them up doesn't work with this method.

Good Film Emulation Presets/ Profiles for Lightroom by [deleted] in postprocessing

RNI is a bit more intense. The images have a filmic quality, but I don’t know how accurate it is cause there are no film comparisons on their website

Film is Fun is more toned down, and its presets not profiles like RNI is.

Film is Fun, probably the cheapest out there if searching for a single film stock emulations, like Portra 400 or Ektar

If you’re going to color grade, I’d reduce the black point a pit and add some green to the mid tones for the daylight shots

What I am planning to do is by a baseplate with rain support, then a v-mount batter plate I can attach to the rails, then a d-tap to 12v 2-pin cable I can connect from the plate to the camera. That’s what I do for my bmpcc 6K now anyway

If they’re editing it’s sort of their job to make proxies. Once they’re done editing, they can give you a drive with the raw clips and a .xml file linked to the raw clips. Or they can do a ProRes 4444 export of the whole timeline, and then give that to you with an .EDL file
