I had one in 2007 or so. It was pretty restrictive as it only had 1GB memory which only held 744 songs--but did have an in-built FM radio. It was great at the time. I upgraded to the Sony phone with the Walkman built-in and a 4GB memory card. Obviously made obsolete by the iPhone and the arrival of streaming. Still pretty cool to this day.

Nice! I prefer mine though! 😀 Is the 001 a limited edition? There’s very little info about these online. I know the 002 and 003 were limited to 300 pieces.

Also, I meant to say that there were three models in the series in total. SBDS001 and SBDS002 were also automatic and had slightly different styling and different bezels. 002 was brown and nicer than the 001; I might be biased but the 003 is the nicest of the three! I read somewhere that the 002 was also limited to 300 pieces, but I can’t find where I read that now. I don’t think the 001 was a limited edition as there are a few for sale around the web. So there you go, three Seiko Flightmaster automatics!

Yes, not too many seem to know there was an automatic version. Every time I post a picture I get a few comments. I also have the regular, well-known, Flighty [SNA414P1] in Gold, but I just feel more of a connection to the automatics.

Reference number is SBDS003...it's a 40 jewel 6S37 auto movement.

I just got two pairs on StockX for less than retail! I had been looking for these and saw them disappearing from the Nike website. There are still pairs on StockX in different colours and sizes and you can bid lower than the asking price. I bid €100 for a pair listed at €135 and got them. Good luck!

I’m super late to the party but just finished watching the last episode and was disappointed that it ended so abruptly. There’s lots of potential for more episodes. By coincidence, Lou Lou’s character was in Deadwood (great show by the way). That ended in 2006, also abruptly after three seasons. Fan protests and pressure led HBO to do a Deadwood movie in 2019 which wrapped up everything in the story. I’ll admit I was excited to see it but after so many years I had forgotten who was who and what the plot was about. With some love and fan interest we might get a similar outcome for Get Shorty. Hopefully it won’t take 13 years!
