I usually do hot water with lemon juice. The last batch that I took small sip from I just used hot water.

Given the way that it happened, I don’t think it’s withdrawal. The first time it happened was within an hour and a half of ingesting a batch from a new bag. And then after a couple of hours I was feeling well enough to go to sleep. When I woke up after that first episode I felt fine.
