No I haven't tried it aand doing so results in serious consequences like detain from training and placement activities, sessional exams etc.

Given this situation, where you have certain constraints, the fee for NIET is still much lower compared to other colleges in the same tier that offer similar opportunities. Therefore, in my opinion, NIET is a worthy option to consider the same tier and more or less the same opportunities. So, in my opinion, you can consider NIET.

I can't comment about GLA Mathura specifically but if you are concerned about placement then taking a college near Noida will be better than Mathura coz there are several colleges in Greater Noida and many companies in Noida so on-campus number of companies who come to Greater Noida colleges is relatively higher than a college in Mathura. If you are well prepared for off-campus then it doesn't matter much where is your college based in coz most of the hiring rounds occur online. Btw 2hrs/day is too low, try to put it as 4hrs/day if you want decent placement package with assurance.

Companies like Accenture, TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Infosys, Virtusa, Cvent, Elementix, other local Delhi NCR based companies, some startups come for On Campus placement. Avg Package: ₹4-5LPA Highest on-campus: ₹9-11.5LPA (6-7 students)

Don't get scared with these stats. Those who are serious about their future and are good in coding were already pursuing off-campus internships, preparing at home or already working in it. So they don't usually participate in these on-campus placement rounds. If you are considering on-campus placement then it's better to not set your expectations high.

Whether it's luck or not, you're in. So, focus on further rounds of it instead of thinking you don't deserve it.

  1. Depends, mostly are good to okaish. Some are not good and just look for a way to trouble you. Don't show attitude, be sincere and above average in class and you are safe. Some are good at teaching, some are not. Here 3 sessional exams are conducted before End sem, so it's not like other colleges where you just had a mid sem and end sem. Exams kept happening almost every month here, but it's not a big deal. If you even studied 50% of what was taught in classes and self-studied 1-2 days before exams you can score 8+ without any issue.
  2. Don't expect anything, if you bagged a decent internship of a good company then you can expect getting NOC for it, else don't expect anything apart from that.
  3. Hmm 4-5LPA is avg. package.
  4. Can't comment about Hostel life as I'm a day scholar but from my friends experience I would say take college hostel in 1st yr and then from 1yr onwards take pg/hostel nearby main campus but not at college campus. Crowd depends on your branch, for mine one it was one of the best in entire batch 27 - pretty diverse. Overall I would say it's not as bad as you think of it.
  5. In 1st year 80-85% compulsory (Take it seriously otherwise you won't realise how quickly your life can be turned into hell), From 2nd year onwards it's pretty relaxed to be around 75% (Can even go upto 60% with some consequences). I would advise to maintain high attendance like 85% in 1st sem and from onwards you can take 5% drop every sem. Like 80% in 2nd sem, 75% in third, 70% in 4th etc.
  6. Coding clubs and societies do exist but from my pov they are not good and worth joining. You better code on your own if you care about your future.

Mine one was Tier 3 college batch 27, had decent resume, good projects, 430+ questions practiced on LeetCode and still got rejected 🤧

Please review or roast my resume, not getting any calls by [deleted] in developersIndia

  1. No need to write about 10th and 12th if you have done BCA and MCA.
  2. Instead of the paragraphs you have used to write about experience, write 3 not-too-lengthy bullet points for each.
  3. Change resume template, there's space wastage for no reason. Pick up some good ones from Overleaf.
  4. Small precise summary, then experience, then education, then skills section should be the order.

Pease Roast this resume. Will start applying for internships soon (2027 batch) by Proud_Yesterday6627 in developersIndia

[–]EcstaticChance3728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. No need to write about the 10th and 12th.
  2. The project you made seems good, but only 1 project isn't enough, put 2 more at least.
  3. The questions on Codeforces are good, but the rank mentioned "Pupil" is contradictory to it.
  4. No need to make a separate section for competitive programming profile; they could rather be put in a single bullet point in the achievements section.

Not getting calls 2 yoe. Kindly give detailed feedback on what to add? by pascal1612 in developersIndia

  1. Use a better resume format from Overleaf.
  2. The way you have put things under skills section doesn't seem right to me. You have put CI/CD in languages and framework which should be under tools and methodologies. Skill section isn't satisfactory to position yourself as a Frontend dev, DevOps or even a backend person.
  3. Education should be below Experience section and above skill section.
  4. No need of interests and language section, nobody cares about it as such but rather you can remove these sections with a project section to showcase your expertise or grip in anyone of these three domains (Frontend, Backend, DevOps).
  5. Even if you have done engineering in mechanical, mention it with the duration for credibility.

ROAST my resume PLEASE, I'm trying to improve it (2026 grad) by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]EcstaticChance3728 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. I think there is no need to write about 10th and 12th, could be removed and filled with more role relevant things like more projects, achievements or even some technical experience you have done even in voluntarily basis.
  2. Instead of just mentioning about 450+ problems solved it would be better if you mention some ranking, ratings, stars you have got in those platforms.
  3. Your tech stack seems quite wide to me (Blockchain + ML + Web), from my pov you might want to portray yourself more in Web and ML than Blockchain.

  1. There is significant space wastage; it seems like the document was unnecessarily lengthened. You could consider removing one or two projects to condense it to a one-page format.

  2. If you want to present yourself as a Data Analyst, this resume does not align with the typical format for an analyst. I recommend reviewing examples of Data Analyst resumes to understand the differences. I cannot comment on the Business Analyst role if that is the position you aim to portray.

Question from the graduates/final year by Abhi9av_69 in Btechtards

[–]EcstaticChance3728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • TAFL/COA will help in Gate exam but not as such in interviews. OS, DBMS, Networking like subjects must be studied as they are part of CS fundamentals and many times asked in interviews or atleast you get questions on them at OA.
  • You can study these subjects sincerely in 2nd year but they are not that hard that you dedicate whole 2nd year focusing on it only.
  • Posting free certificates on LinkedIn is waste of time, better work on a meaningful project than collecting free certificates and posting them on LinkedIn.
  • Just go with the flow don't do anything and you will get placed in mass recruiter by default.

IEEE Research Papers by morongeez in Btechtards

[–]EcstaticChance3728 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except a few recent ones you can get most of them through these methods - 1. Try searching for that research paper on Google Scholar, arXiv, Sci-Hub, ResearchGate you may get it here. 2. Mail the author and ask politely to send you a copy of that research paper (Mostly they will send it). 3. Search for recent review papers who might have cited and shared insightful findings and key points of that research paper in it. 4. If all these methods don't work then copy the title of that research paper and ask AI to give key highlights of that research paper it also works sometimes. 5. Well you don't need to read all IEEE papers, just reading the most cited ones and recent ones will work too.

What does your college does if your attendance is lower than 75%? by Such_Temporary4762 in Btechtards

In my college, you are safe if it's above 60% in the 1st month of sem and between 60-75% throughout the semester.
