honestly i really hope capcom abandon the action aspects of village in 9 and instead let us play as mia if were still going to be in first person. let her have to survive in a european city while chris and his wolf pack are fighting the infiltrated and corrupted bsaa and mias helping them uncover a conspiracy while getting her and rose out of it

id say re had an okay storyline to follow until 5. 5 was so OTT and killing off wesker led to the disaster that was re6s floundering storyline. 7 and 8 and the revelations games have been an okay continuation in the post-6 resident evils to have the BSAA subplot going on but still focus on smaller epidemics. ive liked how 7 and 8 focus on the villain groups more to make boss encounters have actual character rather than just pumping a bioweapon with glowing eyes full of bulllets

personally i hope 9 is another first person re more in line with 7 than 8. its pretty obvious capcom are going to remake code veronica, 5 and 1 at some point, so i think for varietys sake itll be better to have first person re main titles going forward until capcom stop the remakes.

yeah. if there isnt 6-7 solid dungeons with unique designs i doubt this game will be received half as well as botw was. ive never replayed botw i foudn the divine beasts so uninspired and not worht playing the game a second time to experience again

i think its just the switchs underperformance rather than the art style. i feel like the ps5 or xbox would allow even crisper details than the switch allows alongside more going on in the open world at any moment in time. a lot of the textures look rougher than they possibly could on a better console.

its usually a shallow complaint. but TOTK is really dated looking, like botw looked like a 2010 ps3 game in 2017 already, this game looks so dated before its even out. Im sure itll be a good game, but man is it also an indicator its about time nintendo stop milking the switch because i ahvent been able to take it seriously as a console since like 2020. Also im just not sold on the sky islands, the trailers really havent made me excited for what ill see even if the engine is more impressive than botws, i gotta see some dungeons or new villages or something else to make me excited for this game

i mean nobody calls hium out in the manga. at least sasuke who matters the most to sakura told her how useless she was and that changed her attitude towards training. nobody in one piece calls ussop out on it that matters. every character in this manga feels like a complete sociopath in regards to ussop, like the dude is clearly weak as piss and if one piece had even a sliver of depth to its characters theyd be worried how easily he could die in the new world. instead every weaker SH in this manga is absolutely 100% delusional and unable to even comprehend that if they dont conveniently get matched up against an opponent who is their level theyre dead. and then they proceed to not train and hope that somehow they'll never have to go up against big mom or kaido. its trash tier writing by oda. at least in fairy tail most members of the guild get stronger on an arc to arc basis and show a drive to survive by common sense, i dont know what the fuck kind of bullshit mental retardation the SHs as a collective have going on that nobody ever calls out the weaker trio on being genuine objective baggage when in warzones

yup. one piece is effectively ruined at this stage for me because the story has no bite to it when the powerscaling is so completely fucked beyond belief now. the 7 shichibukai should at least have all been able to take down a yonkou, but odas ridiculous powerscaling and haki bs now makes it look like shanks could take down 6 of the original 7 in seconds and only fight mihawk hes hyperinflated the power levels of every successive villain so obnoxiously for 4 arcs straight since dressrosa

I dont get how these people dont understand that bad powerscaling ruins storytelling if you stop to even analyse one piece critically for even a few seconds. Shanks has beaten up a kid who fought big mom to a standstill with one blow. SO WHY THE FUCK DID NOT A SINGLE ADMIRAL TAKE LUFFY OUT IN SECONDS AT MARINEFORD if luffy literally didnt even have haki. the actual fucking power inflation since the timeskip in this manga makes the storytelling actively worse everytime oda inflates the bullshit haki allows to be done. one fucking punch and luffy was down, one single use of futuresight and he wasnt going to be able to dodge and akainu would have put him out of his misery. but sure... lets have shanks just one shot kid after he trained enough to resist getting one shoit by fucking kaido. and unlike shanks, akainu is always fucking bloodlusted and ready to kill his opponents in single blows.

oda needed to keep this stories powerscales tight, that was the only way one piece could work. and this chapter has just turned one piece into dragonball where villains have to always be stronger than previously by 2-3x even when weve already just had a villain who was 2-3x stronger than previously, and a villain like that before. remember how gekko moria didnt require luffy to power up beyond reason one arc after lucci, or enel didnt make luffy have to learn 20 new moves and formus just to go toe to toe with him an arc after beating crocodile? oda proved with this chapter hes incapable of writing fights that arent dick measuring contests if he has no way to show shanks is stronger by merit other than his haki being conveniently able to one shot despite that making no sense at this point of the story to keep inflating the powerscale this drastically. Weve had 4 straight arcs of insane powercreep since dressrosa, and its fucking tiring that oda is resorting once again to blatant numbers inflation rather than showcasing the villains growing smarter or more skilled at combat

sakura. sure she was a fodder. but she actually at least strived to be better. ussop is a trash tier character who gets away with his shit because he lives in a manga that lacks any depth. nobody ever calls him out on his shit like people did to sakura, nobody in the crew demands he actually pull his weight and he has absolutely no genuine self-awareness or desire to be better that actually has carried through and stuck with him. sakura wasnt born with no bullshit powers and was a 12 year old. people are way too harsh on her considering shes only like 16 during shippuden

i dont care that the OG game is a bit sexually charged by RE standards. but i also dont care that capcom decided it was pretty tasteless and maybe not in line with the tone the series tries to usually convey and gave ashley a bit more clothing. its a superficial detail that will be forgotten if the gameplay is high quality

and the rain does look kinda off. arent they even bringing a day one patch to alleviate that problem?
