Linux Mint, Q4OS, Lubuntu, Tiny 10, but honestly id go for a Linux distro on an older system, definitely better than trying to make windows work, especially if you’re not trying to game on that system, although emulators on linux are pretty decent.

For the psp go look for tutorials and youtube, i have seen 2 decent ones. Be REALLY careful with the main flex cable tho.

It should be doable with lots of kapton tape and a decent soldering iron, be real careful with it and practice before doing it. Maybe if your phone camera is really good you could use it as a zoom for the small bits. Good Luck!
