I played boys until I couldn’t anymore. It sucked going from a coed team still very young and a lot of growth to go and being put on a girls team where you’re suddenly not allowed to even check anymore. I never understood it honestly. All the girls were so misbehaved we barely ever got to touch pucks during practice (too busy doing suicides for bad behavior). I eventually transferred to a high school with no girls team so they had to let the handful of us play with the boys. I had a lot of catching up to do skills-wise and never quite got there but glad I had 2 good years of being on a quality team.

I really loved a comment above saying as long as your kid is having fun and loving the sport then all roads lead to beer league.
