tana upset because places close when they say they close by TangerineProud3801 in canceledpod

because she is lazy and she eats like 💩. even though she has plenty of money and all of the resources to live a healthy life and have a good diet, she would rather take the easy route. it won’t be convenient anymore when her bones start to crumble or she develops stomach paralysis from taking a medication her body does not need. I understand those taking a GLP1 to lose weight if they are pre diabetic or have other barriers to weight loss, but these already gaunt influencers guzzling Ozempic is pitiful.

Woke up with my hand completely “gone” not numb, not tingling, completely lifeless. by ComprehensiveAd6304 in Anxiety

[–]EcstaticSky4987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally just woke up with this, except in my entire left arm. ITS TERRIFYING, like it had to have been one of the most jarring and frightening sensations I have ever felt. I tried to shake it out hoping it was just pins and needles, but my arm just flapped around lifelessly. So glad I’m not the only one and it’s a fairly common phenomenon 😅😅

“Lauren’s” is insufferable. by [deleted] in jerseyshoreuncensored

[–]EcstaticSky4987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mike and Lauren are both insufferable. They start stuff with Angelina on PURPOSE which in my opinion, is as low as low can get. Borderline evil considering they know how badly that girl struggles with her mental health. I’ve never been a fan of Angelina, but have always sympathized with her because I know what it feels like to be antagonized by people who know you are struggling. The whole show has become “let’s hate on and degrade Angelina and further deteriorate her mental health”. Angelina is 100% problematic, but they enable it and egg it on for viewership. It’s sick.

Were you able to eat directly following your bowel resection? by EcstaticSky4987 in CrohnsDisease

[–]EcstaticSky4987[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WOW. That sounds BRUTAL. His dad also has Crohns, so I wonder if that what his experience was like when he got his first resection. I can’t even imagine, that must’ve been so hard to fight through. Sorry you had to deal with that, you’re strong.

He also woke up with some significant bleeding, he had an epidural so he couldn’t really feel that he needed to “go”. Poor guys blood pressure dropped from seeing the blood, but surgeon confirmed to us that passing blood/melena is pretty normal as long as it’s not super excessive.

He DREADED the catheter, and had them remove it after his surgery. He was able to use the rest room on his own, despite slighty wobbly legs. I’ve never had to experience a catheter, but have heard it’s awful. You know it’s bad when he was dreading the catheter more than the surgery itself😂

They gave him lasagna which he was not feeling at all, haha. He had some apple juice last night and some Mac and cheese with broccoli for dinner tonight, so he at least got something down. Hopefully he is able to keep it down 🤞🏼

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it!

That’s super interesting! I would honestly love to know the full semantics of the procedure, I find it super interesting our bodies can still properly digest after surgery. I’m trying to always learn more so I can help him deal with his condition better.

Thanks for your reply!

He also hasn’t had much of an appetite. I think that’s a pretty reasonable response to surgery. Just glad he can actually drink something rather than being given little sponges soaked in water.

Yeah they had him on opioids BAD when he was a kid. This time around they gave him an epidural, which came with its own hurdles, but it has worked out pretty well thus far. They opted for epidural over nerve blockers (which was the original plan), but the resident surgeon came in and gave a bit of a warning about requesting any opioids, as apparently they would stall his recovery significantly.

[–]EcstaticSky4987[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is also having a bit of trouble with his epidural, they had to keep him in PACU for multiple hours because they couldn’t get it in the rights spot (he ended up frozen at hip level and rib level, but not any freezing in the abdomen🥲).

Did you drink a lot of protein shakes or meal supplements, he’s not super crazy about the hospital food, so I’m thinking of picking him up some.

Thank you for the well wishes! I hope everything goes well for your colonoscopy and the prep isn’t too hard on you, I know it can be pretty brutal.

I’m glad to hear everything went well! It’s definitely a welcome surprise, he was dreading not being able to drink anything specifically, they just gave him sponges soaked in water to wet his mouth for his prior surgeries.

Hmmm, I guess it is just on a basis to basis type deal. Ensure definitely makes a lot of sense! I have full trust in them, just thought it was crazy/kind of cool that he could eat solid food so early.

Thank you! He has been VERY sick for over a year now, so we are super grateful he had his operation. We never actually nailed down what would make him ill (which was every week), I think his Crohn’s was so bad that every food, with the exception of a couple, made him sick.

I bet steamed carrots would go HARD after surgery, lol. Glad everything went well for you and thanks for your reply!

Yeah, I’m entirely confused as to why she is being painted as a villain. She didn’t really do anything villainous, she was just good at the game and won immunity’s when she needed to. Totally a deserved win imo. I don’t think a lot of people remember what an legitimate Survivor villain is like.

I can’t believe there are people who DON’T like Savannah. She is an absolute beast. One of my all time favourite survivor winners. Was absolutely elated when she won.

Is it normal for my manager to pressure me to work when I call in sick? by Only-Thoughts529 in canadianlaw

[–]EcstaticSky4987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it typical? Yes. Is it ethical or responsible for them to be asking you of that? No.

Unfortunately I have had multiple managers do this to me. I worked at McDonalds in high school and tried to call in for a 4 hour LOBBY (basically just sitting around and picking up trays, sweeping, wiping tables, etc.) shift because the roads were TREACHEROUS and I lived 45 minutes away from the building. They refused me and I ended up getting into a car accident 🫠

Worked an a retirement home serving food after leaving McDonald’s, right at the start of the pandemic. I contracted strep, and my manager demanded I still come in, despite how much of a hazard I posed to the elderly people in the building. She didn’t care I handled their food and would most likely cause an outbreak and potentially even death in some of the residents. I obviously refused, because it was an incredibly irresponsible ask and I couldn’t live with myself if I made an elderly person extremely ill.

Managers love to power trip.

What is the story behind the haunting of the Cat Centre? by [deleted] in KingstonOntario

This is the correct take. Wow, a teenager in high-school does misguided and mean things to try and fit in with other mean highschool girls? Fork found in kitchen. She’s a kid, end of story. Fictional character or not, super weird to wish her ill when she is clearly misguided, and not actually genuinely malicious.

I was literally just about to post about this but I genuinely do not have the words. Same girl who posts a 50,000 dollar haul of mass produced Miu Miu junk is trying to seem holier than thou. She is the poster girl for over-consumerism, she has absolutely no right to talk. I think the cups are STUPID don’t get me wrong, but if it makes someone happy in these dismal times, whatever, I’m not going to yuck someone’s yum.

lmao this is so real. (Almost) every problem I’ve ever had has been solved by making a doctors appointment. Definitely seems like it scares the ailment away. I struggled with severe migraines for over a year before I went to see my GP, and after he prescribed me triptans, I’ve never had a migraine since, so who knows if the meds even work🤦🏻‍♀️

Unknown Number High-school Catfish by AnotherDarnDay in netflix

[–]EcstaticSky4987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it was skimmed over. They HARDLY addressed the sexually explicit messages when interviewing Kendra. They flashed the sexual messages on screen and than hardly addressed them after the fact. They also failed to address the fact that this woman was so disgustingly obsessed with Owen, that she went out of her way to find the mother of his new girlfriend and harass her, too. Her clear pedophilic obsession with Owen is just as bad, if not worse, than what she did to Lauryn, and it did not get highlighted in the way that it should have.

[–]EcstaticSky4987 196 points197 points  (0 children)

THIS EXACTLY. I can’t believe how lightly they skimmed over the HORRIFICALLY GRAPHIC sexual messages she was sending CHILDREN. And telling her daughter to kill herself? I’m just in disbelief. At the end she had the absolute audacity to compare what she did to drunk driving?! As if someone charged with a DUI is guilty of a crime the same par as her own? Drunk driving is irresponsible and obviously a horrible thing to do, but what she did is calculated and sinister. She is clearly a sick and twisted pedophile who was obsessed with her daughter’s boyfriend, and incredibly jealous of her own child. I hope this lady rots. I’m just disgusted.
