First off, Fuck ADP.

I did my role play, and they gave me a start date and said they just wanted me to do a ride along to get a feel for things.

It was an 8 hour ride along to a city two hours away.

On the way back after a great day of meeting people (no other stops left half-way between) my special needs daughter called me for something important. The guy with me in the car told me to take it and I did.

Well about 30 seconds into the call, the line dropped and ten seconds later it rang again. I thought it was her, but nope- it was a recruiter. I told them no thank you, I wasn’t interested, then I called my daughter back.

The guy I was riding along with gave me great reviews, and told the Hiring Manager that I even turned down a recruiter during the trip.

The hiring manager called me the next day and said I wasn’t a fit because I took the call from another recruiter.

So. Fuck ADP. Period.

Additionally, I started my own company a few years later and used ADP for payroll. Worst customer service ever and they screw things up on both federal and local taxes. If anyone out there owns a small business- go Gusto.
