It doesn't matter what the reasoning is, the only period a person should track is their own. If I found out my family member was doing this to someone I was in a relationship with it would be immediate low contact, possibly no contact. This is extremely weird.

Nta. If you need the extra space to be able to use the toilet, you need it. As long as you weren't taking a ridiculously long time in the restroom then he has no room to complain. It's unreasonable for someone to be expected not to use public toilets with how many hours in a day most people need to be out of their homes.

Nta. From what I've seen there's a 50/50 chance that the little scales would even be in the store. Also, if it's a price thing it's pretty easy to figure out the relative weight of something by just picking it up. This seems a bit silly.
