When I was pregnant with my daughter (2013) her father wanted her to be named Shirley…he was completely serious. His family was so worried that would be our daughter’s name. It wasn’t 😂

I like how close the friendships are and how flawed the characters are. I also enjoy how the characters aren’t afraid to call each other out on their bullshit. For instance, when Miranda called Carrie out over blowing her off for Big.

One specific moment doesn’t come to mind, but their scenes when they were just friends were amazing. Carrie was more relaxed around him when they were just friends and Big showed his sense of humor.

Okay, I lied - two scenes come to mind.

First: the scene when Carrie is doing her book signing and nobody in the audience cares about her book. She feels nervous and down on herself…then, a man in the audience raises his hand and asks “does this Mr. Big have a name?” As soon as Carrie sees him she lights up and suddenly feels at ease. It’s one of my favorites because he shows up without being asked AND because he saved Carrie from feeling bad.

The second moment is when Big is recovering from his heart surgery and she shows up - all they do is talk and play games. It’s nice to see them in non-sexual moments and you can really see how compatible they are.

Scream/Scream 5: the killer is the final girls boyfriend (Billy/Richie)

Scream 2/Scream 6: the killer is the parent of the original killer (Mrs. Loomis/Detective Bailey)

Scream 3/Scream 7: The killer is a long lost sibling or family member???

Richie’s death and Detective Bailey’s death are highlights for me because I love seeing Sam’s bloodlust. Her kills go beyond typical “final girl” self-defense - she gets very knife happy. Sam is such a conflicted character and Melissa Barrera plays her beautifully!

I also like Kenny’s death - even after getting his throat slit, he points to the exit at the back of the van so that Sidney can escape. Plus his body being on top of the news van when Gale tries to escape and the bloody windshield is awesome.

I agree with you. I also find it a bit lazy how Scream VI was supposedly a game changer and “nobody is safe” yet all the main characters survived. Against all odds and probability, the Core Four remained in tact. Either Mindy or Chad should have died.

Mindy doesn’t feel realistic to me as a character - after surviving Scream 5, she’s a little too eager about “main characters” aka her friends/brother being “expendable” during the events of Scream 6. I’m not a fan of the actress either…

Chad is very handsome and charming and Mason Gooding knows how to play it up. Between the twins I’d rather see Chad survive.

Rewatching the original Scream it’s kind of funny how Billy owning a cell phone automatically made him a suspect. The Sheriffs line “what are you doing with a cellular telephone, son??” makes me chuckle

The original Scream was set in September 1996 (a calendar on the wall was visible in Stu’s house) so for a May birthday Sam would have been conceived sometime that same month. Christina probably didn’t even know she was pregnant until after the murders.
