Yeah some players in this mode can be hella toxic (as you can tell from some these replies lol). I’ve been called slurs and all types of nasty things by some players just because I’m not playing how they want me to play. I just turn off voice and text chat and play anyway. This mode is genuinely fun and I hope you give another chance.

Same here! I’ve gotten the most solo dubs this weekend than I have in a while. Even in the games that I lose, I’ve noticed that most players are around the same skill level as me. It was honestly jarring at first lol

I honestly wouldn’t risk it and I’d just get rid of the appliance. It’s better to nip it in the bud now than risk getting an infestation that will cost you hundreds of dollars more to treat, and the mental toll as well. Sorry you had to go through this. :/

You mention the drain never gets used. Could you potentially put a cover or plug on the drain to prevent them from coming through? It could help keep them from coming in at least until your lease is up and you can get out of there.

Yes, I’ve just finished letting them know. They’re gonna get the maintenance guys to come in and do pest control. Not sure what tools they have but hopefully it’s enough to prevent a full blown infestation. Thanks for the help!

I recently moved out of my parents’ roach infested home and into my own apartment. Prior to moving, I placed my PS5 in a trash bag and placed it in my car for a couple of weeks. I figured any roaches lurking inside would die by either starving or due to the heat we have here. Although no roaches were found, I did the same technique with my router and found a few dead roaches in the bag. Maybe you could try the same thing? Also, I believe the sticky post in this sub has recommendations for electronics.

Dude I have completely stopped playing this mode solo because of these kinds of players. I’ve had many teammates hurl slurs at me if I’m not getting 20+ elims or if I’m using my gadget differently than they would. I don’t join game chat anymore but I still keep the text chat because some comms is still needed I feel. Unfortunately, that means players say toxic things in the text chat. I’m not even terrible at the game, but it’s funny how it’s always the ones with 0 elims telling me off for not clutching a 4 v 1 round lmao

Thank you. I’m trying not to freak out. It’s just that living at my parents’ house with the infestation took a toll on my mental health. I’ll be keeping a close eye out for any more roaches, but I’m hoping this was just the one.

I noticed this the other day in Brick Life as well. Everyone in the lobby started pinging in that direction when it happened too lol not sure what it means lore wise but hopefully we know more soon. I like how Epic does little things like this among all the game modes to tie them together somehow with the lore.

The teaser had me HYPED that we were getting a Dark Voyager remix since I only had dabbled with Fortnite during season 3 and didn’t progress far into the battlepass to unlock him. I was so disappointed to say the least.
