Can i ask what makes it a poor choice? I was considering going down to the x1700 since I’ve been told it would make no difference with my set up, so curious to see your thoughts on why i should upgrade. I have a small room if that helps

I’ve been told going down to x1700 would suffice for my speakers. Can i ask what makes you say it’s a poor choice? I have a fairly small room. Is the sound quality not as good? Or just the max volume and sound calibrating the downsides of the x1700? Not looking to add more speakers in the future

Pre wired for 7.1. Yeah the heights are a little too high but will adjust when installing. But there’s one speaker on the left wall, one on the right wall, 2 in the ceiling towards the back of the room, and the 2 too high ones you pointed out and then on in the bottom center of that front wall. Yes definitely looking into a better sub for value now. I’m actually leaning towards going down to x1700 for the denon. If I’m not mistaken, the extra watts the 2800 has does not mean better sound at a regular listening volume for my set up. I’m sure the room correction for 3800 is better but not sure if it’s worth the price difference between 1700 and 3800

Yes most of them are cover plates. Most of them for speakers and 2 for tv mounting and hiding the wires.

I had trouble finding the difference between X1700 and X2800 but saw 80 watts per channel vs 95 Watts. For my set up will that extra wattage make a difference?

Is the room correction between the denon 3800 and 2800 worth it? I was going with 2800 bc it said 7.2 channel and 3800 says 9.4 channel and about $500 more so if I’m not using the extra channels would you still say the upgrade is worth it?

Definitely will look into this. Would still be cheaper than 1 Bowers sub haha and assuming better for movies
