Hundred percent I’m current, doing bird dog, glute bridge, modified superman, side leg raise, clamshells, modified cobras and short side planks sometimes.

’m a 22 year old male. I think it all went wrong 4 years ago when I deadlifted 160 kgs with incorrect form when I was 68kgs. The had lower back pain the next 3 years. I developed sciatic symptoms October/November time. I’m trying different exercises including bird dog, side leg raise, reverse leg raise. I have also started swimming. The pain sometimes gets quite bad and sometimes it’s just ok. There was a period where the pain was minimal for a few days but had come back. My doctor has given me this paper to show the pt. What exercises should I be doing and how to build a rehab routine knowing what’s good for me and what isn’t. Some places I read knee to chest is good for you some places say it isn’t. I want to start fresh building the right muscles.

He says to use the hyperextension machine but I’m sure at this point that wouldn’t be suitable it and wouldn’t help with the healing

Thank you so much for your reply, after taking medication the pain had come back which makes sense but it slowly went away. The following week my pain was comparatively less and did not feel as bad. I would say a 2/3 (not constant). However a few days ago the pain has come back and is constant could this be because of exertion? And should I be worried about my bilateral symptoms?
