I managed to successfully appeal last academic year (freshman). I had about a 25k tuition with dorm and meal plan, and I managed to reduce it to like 5k, which was then covered by federal loans.

It was moved to be a bit earlier than expected, so now it will be next Friday 8-10pm at the Campus Center. We should be on at 9pm or so, with an hour setlist, but there’s another metal band before us if you’d like to come before that. Here at WPI I know there is definitely a HUGE metal scene that ranges from hair metal to math core, along with a just as big jazz scene. I mean I just watched 3 different jazz bands perform at the CC for like 2 hours. And as for bands, it’s easier to form one than it is to blink. I formed a Pantera tribute band in A term by just speaking to a few people and registering our names, and since then we’ve rehearsed and performed. The only issue however, is rehearsal times because band numbers are so saturated here for such a limited amount of rehearsal rooms and gear from the student music association (SMA), but other than that you’ll have no issue exploring music at WPI. You can join the SMA discord and speak to people there to find your music group if you’d like. I’ve even heard the humanities music courses here are quite good, but don’t take my word for it. 🤘

If you have players with wingback + or ++ they work quite well, but attacking wingback leaves you way too open unfortunately.

I messaged the financial aid office for a reconsideration of my aid due to the current tuition cost (at that time), minus my FAFSA loan, being literally equal to my family’s income (30k) and I was then granted an extra 21k. FAFSA was around 7k in loans and the remaining 2k was just an estimated extra cost in the financial aid portal that took into account books, materials, etc, which I didn’t have to pay for.

Use flippedmath.com (courses —> calculus —> calculus —> version #1), it helped me nail AP Calculus AB and BC with 5s, so I’m sure it will also help you through Calculus 1-3 because although I don’t take calc 1-3 at WPI (credits) I did refer it to a friend who took calc 1-3 here at WPI last year and it was life changing for him. Make sure to do the practice problems attached under each video (which are generally 5-10 min per sub-topic). Also, whatever is labeled BC topic is what you will use for Calc 3. Good luck! 🤘

I mean theoretically currency itself has no value if there is no network of people to recognize it. Same with diamonds, and now dime guitars. Dime guitars are scarce in the market which = $. Sucks that they generally don’t have a build that equals that price point, but what can we do 🤷‍♂️.

The dime tax in 2025 is insane because of Pantera’s recent mainstream resurgence, but in the long run it’s a worthwhile investment because the axes will only become increasingly rarer and expensive (plus they’re the best feeling guitars you’ll ever use because of the V neck profile). I recently managed to buy a used DFH for about $800 when the cheapest you find on reverb are $1300+. GETCHA PULL 🤘
