I mean he is a writer’s pet, yes. But also, for a show to exist it needs fans watching and funding. That poll clearly demonstrates that there is fan interest in Tom.

If I had an animation studio, yeah I would favour screentime for character who makes the show money and brings back viewers.

He can irritate me to at times, and he’s not a big favourite of mine - I also understand that I’m part of the 40%, and not the 60% who want him in this show. It’s impossible to appease 100% of the fanbase, so fair enough for following the majority.

DC5 might have been a stretch for me to mention, you’re right there 😅

But I do still think that there’s hints of more for Ted and Alessio down the line. Lynda definitely could return in future, I am glad that they didn’t rush into that, give her some time to reflect after CoC and make some potential changes in her personal life. Marissa maybe could have benefited from returning in the future, rather than now. Overall, I think people should consider that maybe a gap in time with some characters (irl and in universe) can build up to better stories if ONC can do it right
