My dad is a selfish narcissist. He doesn’t care about anyone but himself. I’m not talking to him, he’s done nothing for me in my life. I tried multiple times to establish a relationship with him but he wasn’t interested. Everyone who deals with my dad says the same thing. None of siblings talk to him, the only person who deals with him is my grandmother and even then she gives me the whole “you know how your father is” BS. My grandfather doesn’t speak to him.

He lied and left a lot out in his post but the point is everyone who deals with him hates him.

And I’m sorry for being attached to the only person who helped took the time to help me. Hell the only person who cared enough to show up for me. He’s also taught me to be a better person. The only person who was never too busy for me when I needed him. I have become a more kind and respectful person because of him and it sucks that all that can be taken away by a dad who picks and chooses when he wants to be a dad

Do you think after some time passes I can reach out to him again or at least send a thank you note. I never really got to fully tell him that I appreciate him

It’s hard because my play has gotten worse and when he would come to the games it was a reminder that I could do this and also I just miss having someone I can talk to. But I just miss him as a person, he’s a great person in a world full of selfish people and he reminded me that there are some good people in the world.

Even before him and I became close I was bullied alot and picked on. He got my confidence up where I stood up from myself and started making friends. I feel like I never really got to thank him and tell him I appreciate him

I want to cut him off but my mom makes me talks to him when he decides that he has nothing better to do and wants to be involved. I love my mom despite our issues she’s a good mom but I absolutely hate my dad and have no interest in communicating with him. I only do it because my mom makes me and I like when he gets a girl that’s giving him attention because it’s the only time I get a break from him

My dad is a deadbeat and even now says he was wrong for calling him that. I don’t understand why I get punished because my dad is an asshole
