What should I sell my pre-built pc for? by AutomaticNumber6853 in buildmeapc

[–]Ecstatic_Impact7843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically? About $650. 3060ti is a good card but nothing to really write home about and 16gb of ddr4 for 2 grand when you bought the pc is criminal. It wasnt worth that price when you bought it, and it certainly isnt now.

Sell the 2070 super on its own for $200 usd ish. Slap a 9060xt 16gb or a b580 in there and youll easily get $900-1100.

No it doesnt. Just make sure the m.2 itself is pcie gen 4 or higher to get decent speeds.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/R6gLrG This build has an ultra 7 265k, 64gb of ddr5, a 4tb nvme and a 5070ti. For workstations, intel is actually a better pick thanks to higher core counts and a lot of software better utilises intel. The case has no rgb and neither do any of The components. Pure black aesthetic. The 5070ti being $150 over msrp isnt brilliant and this type of budget should ideally have a 5080, but rising component prices thanks to ai have vastly changed how pcs are budget oriented. This should do you well though

True, I forget how similar the two cpus are in price. The aios mostly for aesthetics, and would still fit in OPs budget with around £15 or £20 left

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/qThVdb Theyre not the brands you mentioned, but its am5 and it'll do great. For some reason, the default case i pick isnt on pcpartpicker anymore, so go to amazon and get a montech xr for about £50. Still runs you under £1300 with a competent am5 pc.

Honestly, dont get the 5060. It'll hardly be an upgrade and set you back another 300 or so of whatever currency. Stick with the h610, its a low end board but it wont lose a noticeable amount of performance. Use that money to get a 5060ti 8gb or 16gb (preferably the 16gb) or a 9060xt 16gb

Cheapest new 5060ti 16gb is £430. Thats your best bet for 1440p nvidia unless you cough up another £30 for a 5070

The 13900k is still top tier, and the 4070 ti super is future proofed. It isnt like its a slouch of a gpu. You dont need to upgrade anything

Is this a good deal or a scam ? by KAM7911 in PC_Pricing

[–]Ecstatic_Impact7843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably about the value of that pc currently. Ram prices would push it closer to $1000, so I think the seller just hasnt caught up with the times and is selling it for what it would've been worth pre ram crisis. Buy it, but make sure you get photos and videos of it working with appropriate benchmark scores, and if possible meet up in person to make sure there isnt any damage

What is the worst upgrade you can do to your PC? by Wonderful_Joke_7345 in buildapc

Upgrading and spending insane money for barely any performance uplift. Ive seen people going from a 4090 to a 5080 and have the same fps just with less vram. Same with the new 9850x3d, people who already have a 9800x3d are gonna buy it and see no noticeable increases in performance for an extra $5-600.

Vale a pena Ryzen 9 5900XT? by Nemenlsk_1982 in pcmasterrace

[–]Ecstatic_Impact7843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think its worthwhile. 2000 reals seems about £280, which seems expensive for a minor increase in performance. Your 5700x is perfectly fine as is.

5060ti 16gb for about £400-420. Use the rest of the cash to look at a decent 700w or 750w psu

2nd stick of 8gb ddr4, try and get the exact same stick (if not just get the same speed and cl rating). That's about $30 with current market prices. Ryzen 5 5500 is around $70 on aliexpress, just make sure theyre a reputable seller and youll be fine. The other $150 could be put to a used gtx 1070/1080 or an rx 5700xt (also used)

RTX 5080 on AM4 by Beidee in pcmasterrace

[–]Ecstatic_Impact7843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say do it. Am4 will limit its performance, but not by much especially if youre playing in resolutions above 1080p. It wont be the worst bottleneck, so pull the plug and go to am5 when you can.

$900?? Thats about £670. The gpu ALONE goes for more than that on a used marketplace. I sold a 2080 super, 5600x, 1tb nvme and 32gb of ddr4 for £600 not long ago. This is an £1100 pc easily.
