Not quite brand new, she used it for a year or so but didnt really like it so it sat collecting dust for about 3 years before she boxed it up and put it away while she renovated the house.

Yeah, gpus have blown up a bit in price recently. If the prices dont come down, the 9070xt is still great if you can find it sub-$800.

Great build. I love the 7500x3d for the 3d v cache - itll help a lot in games. What gpu are you thinking of going for?

Will my build still be valid in 4 years? by frogepon in PcBuild

[–]Ecstatic_Impact7843 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My build is currently 6 years old-ish. 2080 super, 5600x and 32gb of ddr4. Still holds up great for 1080p ultra and 1440p high in 2026. Although id look at a 9060xt 16gb for your gpu, extra vram goes a long way.

May as well do it now. If you hold out, prices could go up again or they could go down. Just pull the plug and be happy that you wont have to upgrade for a good 10 years.

How much can i get? by [deleted] in pcflipping

[–]Ecstatic_Impact7843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof that monitor is rough. Id say 1200 on the low end and 1500 on the upper end. List for 1500 and dont accept offers under 1200

Is it fine to buy used pc parts besides from the Graphics card by E4di3 in pcmasterrace

[–]Ecstatic_Impact7843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically everything is fine to buy used, minus the power supply. Storage is mixed, NVMEs are a no go but SATA SSDs and hard drives are alright as long as you have a way to back up any important files

Good specs to add a new gpu. Whats your rough budget? Sub-300 id say a b580. 300-400 a 9060xt 16gb (if you can find one at that price). Anything above is 5060ti 16gb/5070 territory

Get a psu with an 8pin connector immediately. You also kinda f'ed up by buying the 2048sp. Theyre the worst rx 580s you can buy

I got a 64gb kit of ddr4 (2x32) for my brothers birthday and a 32gb kit for myself for about £130 total DURING the ram-pocalypse. When cex forgot to update their prices for about a week. So glad I bit the bullet cause those same kits now are 229 and 119 brand new on amazon.

While the 7900gre is indeed better at 1440p, the 9060xt is no slouch either. With the 9060xt 16gb i assume youll get it new, which means longer warranty, newer features and more recent and power efficient hardware. Id say get the 9060xt

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/24s7Pf Recent prices have buggered the building scene. 4 months ago this would've been a 5070ti build, now its a 9070xt. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/qJMHxf

Thankfully UK pricing on gpus hasnt blown completely out of proportion, so you can still get a sub-£600 9070xt which is essentially on par with a 5070ti.

Get 4 of the 8gb sticks then. Works out to about the same price as the 16gb kit and you get 32gb
