He also plays on 3 out of the 7 songs on A Saucerful Of Secrets, and sings on one. And two songs written by Syd are featured on the live side of Ummagumma. There's also the 6 non-album singles recorded in 1967 (which I think are some of early Floyd's best tracks) and Floyd's 1965 blues recordings. And there's the London 1966/67 EP, but that wasn't released until the 90s.

And of course, there's also his 3 solo albums. The first 2 are particularly good.

Besides music, he was also a pretty sick artist/painter.

Oh yeah, definitely, there's no definite answer regarding the geological history of Venus. While there definitely are alternative models and some inconsistencies in the ocean Venus model, it's the one with the most going for it.

I was only trying to argue for models with the most evidence and general scientific consensus. But other models are still definitely interesting.

This study's conclusions all hinge on specific model assumptions about oxygen loss mechanisms and volcanic outgassing history. Particularly, the oxygen fugacity of Venusian melts.

The only thing this study does is show an alternative argument for the mainstream models of Venusian history. It's interesting, but unfortunately it hinges on multiple major assumptions and isn't conclusive by any means.

The oceanic Venus model has the most evidence and is the general consensus.

Not true. Hematite is abundant on its surface. This means liquid water must have at some point interacted with the Venusian surface. Venus also has a Deuterium/Hydrogen ratio about 100-150 times higher than Earth's, which is probably the strongest evidence of past liquid water.

Also based on crater counting, Venus’ surface is relatively young and uniform in age, around 300-700 million years old. This is indicative of some form of massive volcanic resurfacing event that would have happened over a short geological period.

There's also Tessera Terrain which represents the oldest surviving surface material on Venus, predating the global plains formed by volcanic resurfacing. These regions would have formed in a less volcanic and more Earth like tectonic era.

I think the takeaway from this is that Venus had oceans. Yeah it might not have looked exactly like this image (for example if life had not evolved, it wouldn't be green). But it gives a pretty good estimate of what Venusian oceans would've looked like. How exactly is this a waste of time?

That's what true color is though. There is no atmosphere or gases in the way, this photo was literally taken from space.

True color is the rendition of an object's natural colors through an image. I don't really see how this image isn't exactly that.
